Selected User Reviews For Quickbooks Basic Edition 2003
It is more user-friendly than the newer versions.
Profitable enterprise. But you can't get updates for it anymore, and you can't register it online, so you'll have to buy the most recent version of Quickbooks. Any version of Quickbooks older than 2009 should be avoided.
Everything went smoothly. There were no issues. The CD is free of scratches. The purchase has exceeded my expectations. It was in used condition when I bought it, but it functions perfectly.
I was forced to upgrade this year because Intuit would no longer sell me the payroll tax tables for my previous version. Intuit's QuickBooks 2003 was purchased directly. I inquired about payroll in general, as well as whether the new tax tables were included with the purchase of the new program. They did, I was told. I was also informed that payroll from my previous version had a 'conversion problem. ' new one. Sales advised me to buy 'tech support' because I would only have to deal with one phone call. The cost would then be $75-$100. Per call, the cost is $150. I FOUND OUT ABOUT THE EXTRA CHARGE FOR THIS YEAR'S TAX TABLES ONLY AFTER I PAID AND RECEIVED THE PRODUCT, AND THERE WAS NO CONVERSION PROBLEM, AND I WOULD HAVE TO GIVE INTUIT MY CLIENTS' EINS OR THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME THE TAX TABLES. Intuit does not, in my opinion, have a "compelling business reason" to have this private information about my clients. The EIN is similar to the social security number for a company. This information isn't available to the general public. ] Request an EIN from the IRS for a local business. One uninformed salesperson even went so far as to tell me that I had to give these numbers to Intuit because the "government required" it. This is completely false! I DON'T DO PAYROLL ONLINE, and I don't hire Intuit to do it for me. What if I sold you a car and you paid for it, but before I delivered it, you had to give me your neighbors' social security numbers? Until this policy is changed, I will not use or recommend Intuit's products, which I have done for the past eight years.
Quickbooks has a reputation for allowing those of us with a basic understanding of accounting to manage our company's finances. After conducting extensive research, we recently purchased Quickbooks basic. We discovered that there is an additional charge for updating the payroll tax tables after loading. Yes, you want the tax tables to be correct, but charging [$$] to update them on a new software program does not appear to be customer-centric. While they do offer a free update, the payroll tax tables cease to function. As a result, you have no choice but to pay for and update your software. br>With the exception of employee tax information, everything was fairly simple to set up. The customer service desk will gladly assist you - [$$] for a 20-minute session or [$$] for three months of unlimited time. br>I have no objection to paying for services, but this additional piece of information was not available on the Quickbooks website or in the software package.
so what! For almost seven years, I've used Quickbooks. In 1996, I purchased my very first copy. I upgrade about every two years. Now I'm reading the 2003 edition, and it's of the same high quality that I've come to expect from Q books. br>I was not disappointed by this piece of software because it is very intuitive. br>Any complaints about the Intuit corporation rather than the software are unsuitable and detract from such a groundbreaking piece of software.
QuickBooks, which I'd had for three years, had abruptly stopped working. I was prompted to re-enter my password in a dialog box. please enter my long-awaited I misplaced my old registration number. QuickBooks, according to Intuit, can only be used a certain number of times before it needs to be reinstalled. the registration code should be entered Despite the fact that they did not believe I had a "pirate" copy, I was told they had no way of providing me with my registration code. That meant that all of my information would be permanently lost. br>I objected, claiming that this effectively put a stop to my operation. Was there no way to solve the problem? Well. I'd be willing to pay $ to upgrade. And, if I upgraded, they'd give me a code to unlock my data right away! I used my credit card to pay for the $. Peachtree has been bought. I was able to transfer the information.
Quick Book has a poorly trained workforce, and your employees do an excellent job of covering up your manager's errors. Also, when managers realize they've made a mistake, they don't like returning the client's call. br>We won't be renewing your quick book program next year, so two other large companies in Edmonton will. In order to serve the client, your company relies on excellent service and well-trained employees. Regards, Nisharbr>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>b.
