In theory, Quickbooks will give you access to Turbotax, but it is in fact a bait-and-switch. It appears that the version of Turbotax online you get does not include features from the desktop version. I was able to download it, however some of the pages weren't as clear for how to fill them out as they were for downloading. I was most troubled by the electronic filing system. To submit the taxes to the IRS, we must bring our printed copy to the UPS store for photocopies and mail them by snail mail. The install has been attempted multiple times. I open it, it asks for an update (doesn't give you an option), it updates, says it is ready to go, and then sits there for hours and hours spinning balls, not just updating a few things, but As this is for a Mac, I meet the system requirements. The Mac version of Turbo Tax via Amazon has always been my default choice. In reading some of the negative reviews concerning this year's Mac download, I am concerned. Even so, I ended up purchasing it This software was able to be installed on my iMac (be sure you have the correct operating system) and the updates were successful. It took me half a day to finish my taxes on the first day, then it took me the next morning to complete them. An alert told me I had to get the updates. About twenty times they failed, and then they failed again. My taxes wouldn't let me back into them. During a prolonged conversation with Turbo Tax's customer service department (incredibly helpful staff), I determined that I would need to trash the Amazon download and re-download the program It is available for download from Turbo Tax's website (you need to access the modem directly via Ethernet in order to download).
