It is not possible to activate the TT Basic 2019 CD

The CD version was purchased with the expectation of being able to operate it without internet access. In the twenty years I've used TT I think this is the first time it's appeared. I received the CD and verified that the activation code was in the package. In the instructions for installing, it simply said to follow step Your CD should now be inserted. In order to install and activate your software, you must enter your license code. There is something quite irritating about the first thing it does which is asking for an All I've done is try to start the program several times and it keeps happening. I think this is a joke. Now we can install. NEVER do you need to enter an Activation Code into the installer! It does require you to be connected to the INTERNET in order to continue running the program. The system has no place to enter the Activation Code the user has in his/her hand. I called TT, but none of the humans were available and the system cannot solve my problem. In order to install and run this program without contacting the very insecure Internet, we MUST be able to install and run without connecting to it. A new version of the Basic edition has been released without Broker Import. There were three buttons on the import screen for List year Basic. Top left says "Import from your bank account" The top one says "Force your creation of an Intuit account. " That button has been changed to FORCE you to sign up. Try clicking on "GUEST" at the bottom of the page, their help desk said. As far as Basic was concerned, there were no buttons. The Deluxe version must be purchased. That is BS. Then they said that I had to create an Intuit account to be able to see the brokerage list. I can't do that. This time it was again from Intuit. You want to force the customer to buy the more extensive When they pulled a stunt like this last time, they removed the toolbar from the form. They have received a lot of bad press as a result. I think the broker import issue needs to be brought back to the interview. It will be the same as it always has been. The only reason I don't want to create an Intuit account is to get past their ROAD BLOCK. I also do not want to be forced to upgrade to an even.

retired, I find it to be fairly simple to file my tax returns, but I still prefer to file them using software and electronic documents Fortunately, I don't need to use the state tax software since I reside in a state that doesn't tax retirement income or Social Security. It was more than adequate for the Basic edition. It was a pleasure to receive my refund before Valentine's Day after filing electronically. In the same way as last year, this year's edition was versatile and easy to use. Since it has lost its charm over the years, I would really appreciate if they would get rid of the idiot message ("it is taking longer to load").

There is a problem with the program because it does not update as specified

Hence, you end up in a loop of continuous "updates"! In order for the program to function, it will not be updated as required. After three hours of trying to fix it, it still did not I will not recommend this. You can find cheaper options that work just as well.

For this version of Turbotax Basic, data from the previous year cannot be imported. A simple return is made complicated because it does not track cumulative losses over the previous years. A simple return is made complicated by unnecessary steps that take up your time.
