[OLD VERSION] H&R Block Tax Software Premium 2019 [Amazon Exclusive] [PC Download]

It would have been better if I had bought Turbo Tax. For a while now, I've been using H&M We have been with R block for a long time. There have been many problems with the software, but since the prior year's information was carried over, I stuck with it. In this year's edition, it won't do that. Maybe I can write it off as a loss and have Turbo Tax take care of it.

When I was a child, my mother worked for H&M Since I've been affiliated with H&R Block for some time, I've used them the past couple of years. I will not repeat it. By profession, I'm a software developer, and from a user's viewpoint, this application is a complete and total steaming heap of bits. As a result of the horrible design, you will feel like you are repeating sections you've already accomplished and looking up commands that aren't there. For example, I keep being prompted to choose Tools . Please click here I keep seeing a 'Review Accuracy' icon at the top of the screen, when there isn't even a TOOLS link on this page. My understanding is that the only way to access the Accuracy Review is when the return has been filed. At the moment, I am in the process of amending my return and have no idea what impact clicking on those different buttons is going to have, nor do I know what needed to be done It is not impossible to fill out the 1040X form on my own, but I am uncertain if I will make mistakes without some guidance. I can certainly say that the UI design and overall program flow of this particular piece of software is the worst I've seen. If you want to look elsewhere, please do it. Additionally, as a public service announcement, the company that makes the other major tax preparation software on the market has spent millions of dollars on lobbyists in Washington DC over the past 15 years to ensure that congress passes laws that prevent the IRS from developing its own free tax preparation software. In addition to avoiding them, it is likely also a good idea to avoid them.

I was wondering if the quality of the software had diminished when I read the mixed reviews this year. Luckily, I did not need to be concerned. If you intend to use the software until March, I recommend waiting until then. In any case, it takes a long time to send out all tax forms, and by then any software bugs have been resolved. It was business as usual for HR & OP I found Block to be amazingly user-friendly and it made my tax process much less stressful than it could have been! My small business is naturally complex, so I have to handle it myself.

I wish I had known this sooner. As compared to TurboTax, this software is useless. I found it to be less intuitive and confusing to use, as it didn't have helpful sidebars, the interface was not as user-friendly, and nothing is really explained for laypeople. The entire process was so consuming that I decided to just buy TurboTax anyway (what a complete waste of time and money!). As a result, I'm unsure of whether my taxes were done appropriately with this H&R Block This software is developed by R Block.

Her rates have continually risen over the years, though I have been using her for many years. It seems like we paid $550 the last time. I decided to buy Turbo Tax and give it a try last year. Turbo Tax was not helpful at all for me since I should have received a much larger state refund. During a conversation with a neighbor who is in the profession of accounting, she suggested H&M You can rent from There are so many helpful suggestions in this program, it is extremely intuitive. The IRS has not sent me any notices like Turbo Tax did. H&R Block will never sell me Turbo Tax again and my tax preparation will always be handled by them You should use R blocks.

As far as my rental of the software was concerned, the software had a lot of details. When it comes to tax preparation, it's far more user-friendly than TurboTax. The only major flaw is that it is not customizable. My wife and I live in NYC, and at one point I was asked how many dependents I have other than my wife and me. The number I entered was As soon as you got to the next page, it asked for their info but allowed for only three E-mail is what I did when I went to it (An NYS requirement) It refused to let me file for New York as I listed more dependents than permitted. They were on the phone with me. I was told after being on hold for 20 minutes that I should speak with a local tax expert. I went back to the email menu and changed my dependents to 3 to enable me to send The software should have been setup to not allow you to enter more dependents than have been allowed in the file. How would it fare if it had issues like that for other areas, too? Even if this software is trustworthy, can I trust it?.

During the month of January 2020, I purchased this piece of software. There is no way to run it on Windows 10 Pro. I was on the phone with H&M The technical support team at R Block spent more than two hours on the phone without resolving the issue. The company said they would call you Despite the fact that it is 1/23/2020, I have not received a call back. A very poor purchase.
I'm disappointed with it. I have never had a problem with the H&M Having used R Block for years, I know how to use it.

A star was taken away from the rating of disappointed with the outcome. Although I have used HR Block software for many years and have been happy with it, I will no longer use it. The software for federal and state taxes for 2019 has a "bug," or glitch, pertaining to partially taxable pensions, resulting in an overpayment of $4500 in federal and state taxes. During the automatic processing of the form, a box was checked I left a blank space on the worksheet R when it was supposed to be It took me weeks of searching for the solution to find the bug, and I am now seeking restitution from both the state and federal As a result of the shutdown of the IRS, a revised tax return was a hassle, and I have not yet obtained my money back. Neither HR Block nor other vendors offered any assistance. The rep may have woken up from a nap due to my presence. I am done with that.
