Questions & Answers

Is it equipped with hooks on the ends so that it can be used as ?

If you have something to lean it against and your critter is not too heavy, you can make a ladder with the toy if it is not too heavy and there are no hooks. Using it as a ladder and tunnel, my 5 pound bunny climbs up and down it.

In what way does wood get its color? There would be an opportunity for a pet rat to chew on it, and I would prefer to have it ?

Dye comes in chemical form because chemicals are simply forms of matter that cannot be broken down physically As a chemical, water is part of this). Although this wood is safe for rats to chew on, it is not too hard for them to chew. We have had ours for over a year now, and none of my rats have experienced any There is no better feeling than that!

The wood used for this item is what type of wood?

The product is made from pine and is safe for animals- It is a colouring agent.

It can be molded & used as a ladder, can't it? As part of my plan, I want to put a cage on top of the cage I currently have, and I need a ladder to make their access easier. ?

If you want to use it as a ramp, you might need some support (such as a board) beneath it to help it hold There is a little over a foot and a half of it.

It would be better for you if you built it yourself

It was time for my guinea pigs to have a new tunnel, and I saw Scotty's Animals using them on YouTube, so I purchased one to try. As I looked at the package, the first thing I noticed was that no ingredients were listed To be specific, what type of wood and what ingredients are used in paint. My senses were assaulted with the smell as soon as I opened the package. The rule of thumb with guinea pig enclosures is if you can smell it, don't leave it there. I'm not too great at identifying wood by scent, but I can smell stuff when I smell it. A chemical smell was added to the smell of dead bodies. I don't believe the smell was from normal paint, but whatever they used must have given off that smell. Due to the guinea pigs' ability to fit very well in the tunnel, I decided to get rid of the smell as much as possible. A vinegar/water solution was used for scrubbing, and I intend to oven-bake it After the paint air dries outside, I plan to dry it. But my hands are STAINED with paint as of right now. After I scrubbed it I assumed the paint would come off since pets leave a lot of fur It is actually pretty uncommon for safe paint to leave behind any residue, but instead the paint coated the logs and spilled I now have a chemical odor on my hands as well. While I am not certain what kind of paint they use on these logs, I think it's safe to say that pets can't play on them. It is possible that the wood is rotten, however, I won't take any chances until the smell has been eliminated. My pigs will also be able to eat it once I sand it. It's also COVERED in splinters, so I plan to sand it before letting them eat

I know that the effort I put into making this product safe really isn't worth it, but after altering it so much, I don't think I can return it. It's not hard to build a safer version of this yourself if you just buy some wood rods, thick wire, and a small drill bit at Home Depot.

If you use it, be sure to rinse it first
4/5

It's the perfect size for my guinea pigs as a hidey and it's made of tough, non-toxic material that will not harm Ideally, you should give it a solid bath at the end of the week (probably best to do this in your backyard with your garden hose) if you do get the dye wet (drop a water bottle on it, etc. ) so it will leak massive amounts of dye. I accidentally gave my piggie blue spots when we dyed the fur, even though it is pet-safe. Therefore, it would be best to wash it. If you are using fleece cage liners that you do not want to stain, you should use a detergent to remove the stains.

A moldy smell
3/5

It would have been better if reviews had been read. purchased this item a little over a year ago and it was perfect at the time. The reason I foolishly did not read the reviews before buying again was because I did not read them. It's not the first time that others have reported their fiddlesticks arriving My only other option is to build a smaller bridge, but I cannot find bendy bridges of this size The first time I ordered it, I received it in good condition, so I gave it two stars instead of one. As for the moldy one, Amazon is to replace it with a new one, if the new one arrives with the same issue I will have to change my review to one star and find something else. When it comes to ordering these items, I think it's just luck of the draw.

I have 2 Guinea Pigs and this is perfect for them
5/5

What a great idea. As a house, this is what we live in. This is heavier than the plastic houses, so my guinea pigs can't throw it all around their cage like they can with the plastic houses. This is a nice size to fit two pigs. Now that it's been about four months, I'm getting used to it. By the time it gets dirty and chewed up, it will have to be replaced in about two months. Despite that, it may last for a longer period of time.

The size of the project is very large
5/5

Oh, I see. That's my. He is divine. That wasn't what I expected, I don't know what I expected. When I opened the packaging I was shocked at how big it really was. It might not seem that big to you guys, but to me it is so big lol! I wasn't expecting this, but I am not mad about Despite all their efforts, my guinea pigs just love it and can't stop chewing on They will find that it is bright, colorful, and provides them with plenty of material You might like to order this if you are planning on keeping your guinea pig entertained/occupied for an extended period of time. There has never been anything as big as this. Be aware if you have a small cage that it may not fit. You should strongly consider having a C&R I would like to build a If you need space above, just make sure you have it.

The size is great, the colors are beautiful, and it is customizable

Chinchillas love indulging in these tunnels as well as hanging out in them. It had been my original intention to get it for my female chinchilla, but I ended up giving it to my male chinchilla instead since he did not already have a tunnel. My local pet store is never able to carry these products, so I am extremely happy to find them on Amazon. It has great colors, however when they get wet they bleed a bit and they also splinter fairly easily. The wood always has splinters in it and I'm always getting rid of them by running my hands over it. The last time I checked was two days ago. As well, mine doesn't sit level when bent into a tunnel shape for some reason. As a con, my chinchilla's fur gets stuck on the tunnel when he runs through it. It still manages to stay on the tunnel even though he is still young and quite small compared to the hideouts created by Fiddlesticks. The concept of this hideout is interesting, but I don't believe it would be a good choice for my nervous In terms of size, color, and quality, it is excellent but I am not sure I would buy it again in the nearest.

Buying this product is a bad decision
3/5

In a nutshell, The logs were smaller than they appear in the picture there were just nine of them, A water damage resulted from the overwrapping of the product. THIS IS NOT A GOOD ITEM TO BUY! When you remove the dye, there is no stain left.

The dye used in this project is WAY too much! A product similar to this has been an essential part of my chinchilla's life for years, but recently it The towel I got for him looked great and I was eager to give it to him when it arrived, but I was unable to remove the TOO MUCH dye it had from it (the dye poured off of it after three long rinses and still stained the towel when it dried)
3/5

The last time I checked, my chin had nothing to do with it, and I think it will probably end up in the garbage. I am very disappointed, as that much dye contains toxins that are harmful to ingest by living beings.
