Questions & Answers
It depends on the size and age of your rats, and even if they are small, you can simply cover the cage with mesh.
In no way! Even for ONE Ferret, this cage is far too small. If someone uses this for a Ferret or, worse yet, multiple Ferrets, they will be TERRIFYING! Ferrets require a large cage, such as the Ferret Nation's three-story structure. That's what I do with my two ferrets. Please do not torture your animals by confining them in this tiny cage.
If they're larger rats, it'll be more difficult to catch them. If they're any smaller than your palm, I wouldn't recommend it.
Yes, they can be removed, but it's very useful because the underneath compartment collects all of the animal's waste and mess, making cleaning much easier.

I received the cage yesterday, one day ahead of schedule. My chinchilla immediately began chewing on the cage's bottom. All of the plastic pieces will have to be replaced with wooden or metal alternatives. Excellent cage, but not for Chinchillas or other pets who chew to get out.
I've been on the lookout for the best way to care for my two new bunnies. This one is a keeper in my opinion, but I do have some PROS. The following are some of the disadvantages of this cage: PRO: br>br>PRO: br>br>PRO: PRO: PRO: PRO: PRO: PRO br>*I like how modern the design is. Fits in perfectly with my home decorbr>*My bunnies are jumpers, so this will provide good exercise for thembr>*I've been looking for a good solution for all the rabbits. One litter was fine, but the other refused to train, so I needed to come up with a solution that would work for both while reducing cleaning time and mess. Cleaning poop has been so much easier than it had been in our previous set up in the two days I've had it, thanks to the bottom design mesh and pull out tray. I was literally using a Dustbuster several times a day because poop was getting everywhere, but this keeps everything in one place and hidden. br>*It's all metal, so I don't have to worry about my bunnies chewing through a wooden hutch. br>*I like that everything else is plastic, which makes it easy to clean and wipe down if needed. br>*It was SO EASY to put together. There is no need for any additional equipment. Everything fit perfectly. br>*Delivered a day earlier than expected. br>*We needed access to the door behind the cage, so the ability to roll the cage around was crucial. br>*It's nice to have all the levels for more than one bunny to spread out. Because of the coming and going up and down the stairs, I wouldn't recommend more than two bunnies because it can be a traffic jam at times, but they've learned to crawl on top of each other. br>br>CONS: br>*The manufacturer must take immediate action to address the stair problem. They fall off the latches so easily that when I was watching them check out a new cage, they kept knocking it down. Thankfully, they didn't knock it down while attempting to climb on them, but rather as a toy. I was able to fix the problem by placing small felt chair leg gliders above the area where the latches hook to the tray, preventing them from coming off. However, it terrified me at first that a bunny would fall from a great height if one of the stairwells' latches failed while it was attempting to run down. I'm still surprised the manufacturer didn't secure this better in the design for safety reasons. br>*When bunnies hop around the cage at night, the cage itself is loud and wakes me up. br>*The clear plastic door looks cool design-wise, but it's difficult for my bunnies to use to go in and out of the cage when we let them free roam around the house, so we have to manually take them in and out when we were used to them coming and going as they pleased. br If a bunny falls from the top, it will protect you better. br>*It took our bunnies a few days to pluck up the courage to attempt the higher levels. I wish the stairs had a better grip for their feet because they seem to slip a lot, but they've figured it out. br>*I wish the cage was a little bit wider, but at least I found this taller version because I originally ordered the shorter version and canceled it when I found this taller one. br>br>Overall, this is a great cage that has solved a lot of my frustrations with other set ups, so I recommend it. But keep in mind that if you buy it, you'll have to figure out how to solve the staircase problem.
This cage has completely captured my heart! It's the perfect size for my ferret, and it came with all the pieces I needed and was fairly simple to put together. I highly recommend if you're looking for a nice, big ferret home because it seems pretty sturdy and the floors are a good size, so the extra room to put stuff in is really nice.
The platforms and ramps will need to be drilled and zip tied in place. Every day when I get home, I see bunnies trapped on the upper levels, unable to access food, water, or litter.
If you have a rodent who is prone to chewing plastic, you'll need to use liners to prevent them from ingesting it, but it should be fine on its own for a while! My chinchilla loves it so far. I've also seen reviews of people putting rabbits in here, which I strongly advise against. They'll trip and fall, breaking their backs in the process. Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please Make sure you do your homework!.
We purchased this cage because we are thinking about getting a second ferret and wanted to give our beloved Honey more room in her cage. It took her some time to adjust to her new pad, as you might expect, but she now absolutely adores it. We can move her more easily with the wheels while still keeping her safe from our other pets. It also allows her to prop herself up when she has had enough of playing and needs to rest. It is well worth the money, and if I needed another small animal cage, I would purchase it again.
trip. Because it was much larger than I anticipated, I only needed two floors to accommodate three ferrets. Although the instructions for putting it together were terrible, I was able to figure it out on my own. The ramps were a little tricky to put together at first, but once they were, they worked perfectly. They did a great job of staying put! They were much better than the plastic ramps that came with the metal ferret nation cage. It was very simple to clean, and I have a toddler who is still learning to use the potty. Because she only uses the litter pan half of the time, having a slide out tray underneath was ideal; no mess was left behind. It was convenient to get in and out because it had three doors. The bars were a little too far apart for a rabbit, chinchilla, cat, or other small animal. ) but it was sturdy enough that my three troublemakers couldn't get away with it. My only gripe is that one of the bottom plastic clips broke, but the cage was heavy enough to keep it in place. It was costly, but well worth it because collapsing all of the levels to save space in the car was relatively simple. Then, once you've gotten the hang of it, reassemble it to get it out! The scale The ferrets must have felt like celebrities because of the color of their cage. Every time I had to wheel them into or out of hotels, they drew a lot of attention. I felt compelled to make a comment or take a photo with them. The ferrets are unquestionably the best. I really liked it:.
So far, everything has gone well. In the future, there will be more chicks. So far, everything has gone well. The unit is simple to put together. Wheel inputs are tight and difficult to install, causing the wheel to warp easily. The stairwells had a slick appearance and feel to them. It features baby chicks, which I'm working on right now. As a result, I dripped glue on the steps and then covered them in soil. Hopefully, you'll be able to gain some traction. For a few months, at the most.
