His cage was a gift from us for Christmas. After getting the hamster the next day, we played with it. next morning she looked sick, and I initially thought it was a pet store ailment. They waited until the next day in order to pick her up. It looked like she was getting Our hamster was dehydrated because we weren't giving her any water (that's why we checked the bottle when we filled it). Fortunately, it happened again after we bought a different brand of bottle. She is back to her old self now. What a relief! Compared to the exact same cage we bought about 5 years ago for my daughter, this cage is a much lower quality. There is a thinner plastic and it is difficult to align the wire part in the base and the lid. The wire on the water bottle is too tight (not using it at the moment) and over all, everything It's so disappointing to see this cage!.

To begin with, we started with a smaller cage, which was great in terms of size, but the bars were too far apart to contain the little guys. Rather than an aquarium without a screentop, we chose an aquarium with a screentop. Although it proved effective at keeping them contained and there were no escapes, mice stink a little bit, and I started to wonder how all that stench and lack of airflow was affecting them (and the air circulation in my daughter's room) I went to Amazon and found a new place to send them to. This one was actually sold in a local pet store, but the price was a bit steep, so I took a chance and ordered it on the off chance that ratings would be mixed. Teddy and George are very happy to have found their new home. After finally figuring out the tubes it didn't take long for them to climb, but before this they had only climbed wire. The two birds have been much more active since they have so many things to do in the cage (prior to this, in the aquarium, they had one wooden two story house and a saucer to play with) and so much space Whenever I release my hand into the tube, they run into the tubes and wait for me to come back out. However, I believe I could avoid this if I used the petting zone for that purpose. In addition, I also enjoy the fact that they like to bed down in that area. This will come in handy when it comes time to clean the cage. Since we had a nicer transparent bottle already, we did not use the water bottle. It is quiet, which I have learned is very important (especially in the middle of the night when a squeaky wheel can make sleep difficult. is great, so there are no complaints here.
I have also had no problems putting this together, my 7-year-old also had no problem doing it We found the instructions to be clear and easy to follow, so we both followed them. As a new owner, it is somewhat difficult to shop for little critters, and I highly recommend this product for mice. This is a fantastic product for those who are new to owning a rat or mouse. That was the case for me at least! My goal is to help anyone else with mice searching for the appropriate enclosure with the information I have given in this review. There will be a picture later, but so far I only have a video of me loving them and them comfortably grooming each other in the petting zone I am not posting it it's cute but doesn't really show how good this product is.
