Questions & Answers
It's actually a hedgehog cage that I bought. Hedghogs will not have a problem with the spacing between bars. This is her first home, and she seems to love it.
We had an old cage that was hard to clean and I wanted another that was easier As far as cleaning this one is concerned, I can honestly say that it isn't that difficult. Whenever he has to do this chore, he literally looks forward to it.
There is plenty of space for hamsters in this cage. There are 691 square feet in the Standard. 1018 square feet is the size of the Large. Twelve hundred and twenty-two square feet is the size of the Jumbo.
The bars would not prevent a hamster from getting through. There is now a new type of pet food. It is meant for larger pets like bunnies, guinea pigs, and ferrets.

This (JUMBO) cage is big enough to house two my guinea pigs, but with the balcony you could put up to three pigs comfortably. The bottom has a hard surface that I really like. It stays in the cage until I clean it out of all the pig poo, hay, and stuffing. If you are traveling, you may need to lift the cage and transport it to grandma's house while you are gone. Since the Midwestern Habitat had lower and more flexible sides, it tended to catch more objects flying out of it and made cleanup more difficult, plus the material soaked up water and stains and became gross and smelly regardless of how much I washed it. It doesn't seem as if that would be a problem with the hard bottom of the However, the Midwestern cages have the ability to be joined if you have more than two pigs, while the Amazon cages don't seem to be able to I don't have to use hiding houses, which means they have more space to run and play when they want to. They are not used to climbing such a high ramp, but they are capable of going up, and the more they become used to it, the more they enjoy hanging out My only problem has been finding a way to use the hay rack included. It's the first and only one I have come across which works! It is unavoidable that you will need to do deep cleaning and scrubbing once a week- There is just one thing to do raise and remove the wire parts. Taking the wires out does not take more than a few minutes, but it is definitely a negative. It is a shame that there is only one side opening, as if there were two, it would eradicate the need to disassemble the cage every time it needs We've had the pigs for lots of years, and even though I've only had this cage for less than a week and they're both good cages, I think it's worth a few dollars more than Until I notice any deviations, I will continue to update, but so far this appears to be a very solid cage. I would highly recommend it.
Our son purchased guinea pigs for his new home and the Jumbo Habitat was perfect. I thought that buying a bigger cage than a starter cage was the best choice for my first pig. The cage was great and I am not disappointed. I have no experience with animal cages, but I can say that I am not disappointed. The instructions were easy to follow, and I assembled it in about ten minutes. Piggies love the balcony because it's the perfect place for food, and the ground beneath it is the perfect hiding spot. As well as the deep plastic base, I like it. The pigs don't seem to be throwing out the bedding, which is a good sign. They seem to like the cage a lot. It has so far been a great experience.
Instead of the black ladder or the hay tray, I chose not to use them. An upgraded hanging waterer and a liter storage box were put on instead. There is nothing better than seeing my bunnies happy! In addition to my bunnies all being in identical cages, my house is also very uniform for my strong case of OCD. I also really like how clean the cage stays! Wet wipes do not work and we needed to hose it down after I accidentally spilled coffee all over it (the wet wipes got dirty). Is this something I would buy Yes, I agree! I will get one or two more when I expand my ear!.
Divide 23 by 2. It would be about 7 if you multiply 6 by 6. Approximately 7 square feet, slightly more than the Humane Society's (and others') recommended bare minimum for 1-bedroom apartments A guinea pig and a rabbit. This measurement refers to the outer rim of the jar, not the floor area on the inside. 43 by 19 feet is the size of the floor space. About 5–which does not include the decimal point. The room is only 8 sqft due to its length. As far as floor space goes, the second level isn't included, and even the ramp counts against it. In other words, the Jumbo does not meet the 10% minimum for one pig, despite how big it is. In spite of all the exercise you provide this animal, it's still important to ensure he or she has enough space so he can run on his or her own, since he may want to exercise up to an hour a day.
Having said all that, I still bought it. I am in a position to pursue other options, such as a C&D plan, now that I have four months old pigs You can also use C or an equivalent. This is a better habitat than what you'll find at the pet store for the money, and it's also bigger than what you'll find at the pet store for the same price. If you're going to get one, get the big one. It would be challenging for just one pig to live in those two small spaces. (They thrive best when there are 2 or more of them. fleece liner and a Carefresh litter box. There's a water bottle that comes with it, which I like. I prefer this ball to my old one because it is considerably quieter. A little too much hay is held in the hay holder, but the cage is worth much more. There are sides on the bottom that are 8 inches high, so I find it unlikely that pigs would kick out bedding, if it was used. However, without the second level the hay holder and water bottle will be too high for the pig to reach, so you won't be able to use this without the second level, unless you have a hay holder and water bottle that rest on the floor. As such, I am pleased with the outcome. It has 3 different height settings, and is a 4x2 Lifetime white folding/locking table priced at $35. Keeping this habitat there is the best thing to do. In my case, I did not encounter any faulty wires or broken plastic like other folks had. The item would have been exchanged if I had purchased it from Amazon. This is why I recommend this- only the Jumbo- for 1-person households A guinea pig and a rabbit.
Wiping the back corner under the second level was a real pain in the butt. My boobs nearly reached the ceiling when I climbed in. The length of my arms is a bit long. Having to do that again is not something I'm looking forward to.
