It's great for both long and short haired rabbits, so I'm guessing it is. Because rats have short hair, I'm guessing it'd be similar to use on them. It's an excellent set, and the brushes are easy to handle.
A small wooden toy for your small pet; I have guinea pigs, and they would chew on this for entertainment and to keep their teeth from becoming too long.
We always used human nail clippers when I had piggies when I was a kid. My previous piggies didn't seem to shed as much as my current one does.
No, not at all. Hamsters are fairly well groomed, but if they stink, you should think about it. This kit, on the other hand, isn't required. Simply brush them gently with a clean toothbrush and a drop of water if desired. I'd take the hamster to the vet and have them checked out if they aren't grooming themselves at all.

My chinchilla ate about a quarter of the 'chew treat,' and the next day he was dead in his cage. He appeared to be in perfect health, which raised suspicions.
I haven't tried the nail clippers yet, but I agree that the wooden "toy" should be discarded because it is toxic. However, I believe some of you are brushing your pets too hard with the blue brush. I gently applied it to my lovely piggie, who adored it. She sank into my lap and sat there purring the entire time, not moving an inch until she fell asleep. I used the pink brush after the blue one and it collected all of the loose hair that had fallen out. We like it a lot. I'll be back with a new nail clipper update!.
We already had a nail clipper for our short-haired guinea pig, Boise, but my girlfriend prefers this one because the blades are a little thinner (but not flimsy) and it's easier for her to see where she's clipping so she doesn't get his quick. The wire/pin brush seems to get the majority of the shedding hairs out, and Boise enjoys it when we follow up with the soft bristle brush. And, of course, he loves the chew toy; we keep it separate from the other toys in his cage so it can be used for grooming.
It's made cheaply and is far too rough! These irritate my bunny! I'm scared to use the nail clippers on my sweet bunny's nails because they're so delicate. When it came to the brushes, the metal one was in bad shape and pulled his hair, causing him pain. The pink one is fine, but it is ineffective when it comes to grooming.
My guinea pig enjoys having her nails trimmed, and these scissors are of excellent quality and sharpness! It's a piece of cake to do. She enjoys having her hair brushed and playing with her wooden toy. I'd buy this product again, but I don't think I'll need to do so for a long time because they're going to last. :.
Brushing my bunny is enjoyable and makes his coat shine. The undercoat brush, however, is ineffective, and he continues to shed around the house. Because he despises being held, I haven't tried the nail clippers. He didn't even take a bite out of the small wooden chew toy. This set was, however, less expensive than purchasing a single brush, so it was well worth the money.
The brushes are clearly of poor quality, but the package was reasonably priced, and my guinea pigs seem to enjoy them. I like the scissors because they're small and easier to use than the ones I had previously. I threw the chewing gum out the window- My girls prefer wicker balls or straw huts to solid objects, so I figured the slicker brush would be a pleasant surprise for them. I didn't expect it to make a significant difference in their fur- However, once they've been brushed, they're gleaming and stunning! Some hairs were removed by the brushes in general. Not as much as I'd like, but I think it'll suffice for guinea pigs.
What appeared to be a good deal turned out to be overpriced junk, at least for our rabbit. The nail clipper broke before we even used it, and the brush didn't seem to pick up any loose hair. It didn't appear strong enough to clip through a nail, even if it wasn't broken. Slicker brushes, according to what I've read, are bad for rabbits' sensitive skin. The wooden chew toy was the only thing that was useful, but I'm not sure how useful it was with all the paint on it.
