Selected User Reviews For HERTZKO Pet Brush Great for Detangling and Removing Loose Undercoat or Shed Fur - Suitable for Dogs and Cats with Long or Short Hair - Ideal for Everyday Brushing
After reading several reviews, I was convinced that this brush would be ideal for brushing our Great Pyrenees. There will be no such luck. Imagine my surprise when the bristles on our dog's coat began to fall out within a week of brushing (i. e. The brush wasn't used to untangle major knots or anything like that). I contacted the seller, who responded quickly but essentially said it was an Amazon issue because the order was fulfilled by Amazon. This response perplexed me because, when I ordered the brush, the seller was quick to contact me and request a positive review. Is your product or Amazon's the one in question? br>While this brush may be ideal for dogs with short hair, I would not recommend it for dogs with long hair. For us, it was a complete waste of $15.
I needed a brush to detangle silky fur while also being gentle on my Papillion's skin, so I ordered this. My dog would run away from me when he saw this brush in my hand and yelp when I brushed him after using it. br>I bought it because of the positive reviews and the fact that it was supposed to arrive the next day. br>The bristles' ends do have small round ends, but they're metal and not particularly large. After giving it some thought, I could see why it bothered him. br>I tossed it and went to a local pet supply store to find one that was suitable for my dog's fur and skin type.
I'm brushing my 150-pound Newfie with this brush. She appears to enjoy having her hair groomed with this brush. With each pass, I am able to collect a significant amount of fur. The pins appear to be in good condition. (Over the course of a year, the pins on my previous brush "fell out. ") The handle is comfortable, but I have large hands for a woman, so it may be too big for smaller hands. In 6 months, I'll revise this.
It's quite effective. It appears to be a hit with the dogs. Holding it is simple. Even though I have only had it for a short time, one of the pins has already come out. We'll see if it was a one-time occurrence or if the situation worsens.
The brush is well-made, but I needed it for my cats, and it fails to capture any shedding hair. It doesn't seem to make a difference to their coat. One strand of my hair is short, and the other is long. I wanted a brush that was gentle on their skin, which this appears to be, as they seem to like it, but I have to rub off all the loose hair with my hands.
This is the second time I've purchased a Hertzko pet brush. One is kept upstairs, and the other is now in the basement. For my papillon sisters, this brush is ideal. Their fur is silky and they don't have an undercoat. It's a great option for dogs who don't have an undercoat.
This brush is great for my Balinese cat's long hair because it keeps it from matting and he enjoys having his hair brushed.
This is a larger brush, which is exactly what my Golden Retriever required. She's "throwing her coat," and this brush is removing all of the loose hair while also detangling her hair. It's something she really enjoys. When she notices the brush, she bolts. While I'm brushing her teeth, she likes to lean into it. PERFECT. Excellent craftsmanship.
