Three of my puppies developed a nasty rash on their necks as a result of wearing these collars. Collars were worn for two days only. I paid nearly $200 for it. The vet bills came to a total of 00. 😡.
I have two litters of puppies, six days apart, for which I purchased two sets of these collars. I can now distinguish between each puppy and who belongs to which Momma Dog. They're also adjustable, so they'll grow with your puppy. I'm very happy. br>I've also discovered that they're ideal for pre-event planning. sale i. New puppy parents can choose their puppy based on the color of the collar. pattern. There will be no confusion as to which one belongs to whom. These are extremely effective.
I bought plush stuffed animals for my nieces for Christmas last year, and I decided to put collars on them so the kids wouldn't mix them up. These happened to be the perfect size and came in a nice variety of colors, so I went ahead and bought them. The buckles are very sturdy, and I'm pretty sure a child won't undo it by accident (although I'm not qualified to comment on whether or not it's a choking hazard). br>br>I imagine most people looking at this product are dog breeders, so this is probably an unusual point of view for many of them. Still, if you're like me and want to add a little personality to your plush toys, these will suffice.
At 12 for $14, these were a good deal, but you can get better for less at the dollar store. I would not have bought these if I had known how stiff and difficult they would be to put on and remove. "Easy to adjust, with safety quick release buckle," according to the product description. " That's exactly what I was hoping for. I was able to use my dremel tool to grind down the teeth on the male half of the buckle, making it easier to put on and safer in the sense that it would break away before choking the pet. While there are better ones for less money, these did come in 12 different colors, which would be difficult to come by, and I like the reflective strip. The black collar is shown in its original state, and the blue collar is shown after I trimmed it.
It was, but not for a puppy, as one puppy's paw got caught between the collar and when she tried to get it out, she cinched the collar around the other puppy's neck, thank goodness I was there to witness the whole thing. I immediately removed all collars and went back to the clip style. I'd rather have a litter of puppies without collars than one with collars strangling them.
You get what you pay for in this case. Cheap. There's no need for photos. This is a waste of time. I couldn't get the buckle to come apart, so I had to use needle nose pliers, which I tried most of (I bought two packs) and it hurt so much (arthritis in my deformed fingers) that I had my husband try it, and he had the same problem. They're also made for a low price. They'll be returned to me. Recently, there have been a lot of cheaply made items on Amazon. I'm still going to Amazon, but I'm going to be more cautious.
These collars are absolutely adorable! Excellent craftsmanship.
I bought these for my litter, and while they work great for that, they don't hold up as well as other collars I've purchased. With the puppies playing with them, they're falling apart. They appear to be double-layered, and the top layer has been pulled off, so I'm constantly changing collars. I'll go back and buy the other ones that held up a lot better.
