As for the stretcher itself, it seems pretty sturdy, and I have used it without any problems so far. I only have one complaint the hardware that attaches the strap keeps popping off because it's made of extremely cheap metal. In order to use it in the manner intended, I have to replace them. My personal preference is not to drop them, since I am responsible for moving deceased animals around as part of a home euthanasia service. As for the mesh, it is shaped in an odd manner As far as I can tell, it's supposed to cover the head and tail, but it's also a little odd. The stretcher itself has been very reliable to me for quite a while, so I will definitely keep using it.
This is not something you should buy. A part is missing! The product described is different from the one shown. There is a "foldable" stretcher described in the description. I am not able to fold mine. On Amazon, the product description includes photos of the hardware that needs to be attached and assembled in order to make the foldable stretcher work. In mine, there is no foldable feature. The description does not specify that the item is There is no indication in the directions that it is foldable, nor do the pictures show any hardware that could make it so. In addition, the two holes in the metal tubing do not align, and there is no way to twist them into the correct position, so a screw cannot be inserted through both holes in the frame to secure it. Adding insult to injury, they didn't even bother giving me a wheel bar to insert into the wheels, so I can't use it to wheel a dog if I need.
