I can say that it would be too small to hold our adult guinea pigs. We bought this to store stuffed animals, but I think it's the perfect size to hold stuffed animals. It is also not possible to clean the base. Although there are some issues, quality is good for the price. It is a bit difficult to close due to the high seam near the zipper. I love it and my kids do too.
