Questions & Answers

Is it possible to clean charcoal for bioactive enclosures with this method?

It reduces the amount of chemicals in tap water. Yes, if "clean" means "no chemicals in the water when rinsing the coal." It does not reactivate charcoal, in case you were wondering.

Is this something I'll need for my mist bottle?

Yes. Personally, I put a few drops of this in any water that comes into contact with my animals (ie: drinking water). Mists, baths, drinking water, soaking dishes)

What's the time limit for it to expire?

It takes a long time for it to run out, and you don't need much, but always double-check how much goes in your size tank because the information on the website is only for smaller tanks.

Is it true that this product also eliminates algae?

I'm not sure if this product kills algae, but it keeps my turtle's tank clean and clear, and my turtle is healthy and happy as a result.

How to Use Zoo Med ReptiSafe for Reptiles and Amphibians and Water Health Tips This product is fantastic and does a great job at what it does
5/5

In my capacity as the director of a reptile rescue, I would suggest that a de-sexing program be implemented. I would recommend Repti-C, a chlorinator that removes both chlorine and chloramines from tap water. I've done strip tests before and after using Safe as the Best, and it genuinely lowers the level of chlorine and chloramines. So, if you're in a pinch and need to give your reptile or amphibian tap water, use a de-chlorinator. A chlorinator, such as Zoo Med ReptiSafe, is a must-have because giving your reptile plain untreated tap water for an extended period of time can and will harm their health, particularly amphibians, which have softer and more absorbent skin than reptiles. br>br>When it comes to reptiles, tap water should never be used, especially because they drink from it and get their humidity from it. Tap water contains heavy metals, chemicals, as well as a lot of chlorine and chloramines. In an emergency, you can use a de-icer if you only have tap water. Repti-Chlorinator is an example of a chlorinator. Safe, which will remove chlorine and chloramines as well as some chemicals from tap water, but it will not remove heavy metals and other toxins, which is why distilled water, filtered water (obviously the better the filter, the better the water), bottled water, or purified water are recommended. Finally, use a reptile fogger, specifically the Blue Spotted Deep Jungle Reptile Fogger, which works great for our reptile rescue: br>br>To aid in shedding and to increase humidity for your reptile while adding a wonderful effect, use a reptile fogger, specifically the Blue Spotted Deep Jungle Reptile Fogger which works great for our reptile rescue:  .

Sticky Fluid is used to protect the product during shipping
3/5

The item is delivered in a purple-colored plastic bag. I tried simply rinsing it off, assuming the bottle had simply leaked a little during transit, but the label began to rub off as I rinsed. I examined the bottle and noticed that there appeared to be no fluid missing, so I'm concerned that it's been sprayed with a hazardous chemical. Because of how corrosive the fluid on it appears to be, I'm afraid I won't be able to use it with my lizard. I'm not sure how effective the product is, but I'm afraid to use it in its current state. I looked for a way to contact the vendors, but the only option I found was to leave a review.

This is fantastic and imperative! Reltisafe is a fantastic application
5/5

It only takes a little to make a big difference. A small bottle will last a long time if you're an amateur reptile keeper; I have a ball python and a corn snake, and I used it for everything. a bowl and a humidifier Without a doubt, it's a must. The packaging was the only drawback. br>br> I received the bottle wet in the plastic bag, which eroded part of the label, as did others here. Everything was fine after I rinsed it off. Because the bottles have no seal, the solution will leak into the bag if the lid comes loose. As a result, if I had the opportunity, I would buy it in person.

It is, in our opinion, a must-have for red-blooded people

tanks with eared sliders! This is used in both of our tanks, which we have. We use the blue bottle every time we need to change or add water. br>br>Using ReptiSafe has provided us with a number of advantages. br>br>1 - If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "innov Filters that produce waterfalls are used, and the splashes can leave hard water spots on the tank's sides. We couldn't see our turtles unless we looked over the top of the tank because the sides of the tanks were covered in water marks. Since we started using it almost a year ago, we've noticed that there are fewer stains. br>br>2 - If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "innov Water marks are notoriously difficult to remove! Because it's not safe to use cleaning chemicals on the inside of the tank, we mix a squirt of this with a wet sponge and scrub away at the stains. br>br>3 - If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "innov The water continues to be clear for a longer period of time. We used to have to dismantle the tanks every two weeks to scrub the slime off the basking platform steps and the rocks, even though we changed half the water every week. In between cleanings, the water would frequently turn green and cloudy. We now change half of the water once a week, and we only need to replace the filter cartridges on rare occasions. br>br>4 - If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "innov It's great for the turtles because they don't have to be taken out of their homes for long periods of time while we clean. After we cleaned the tanks, they used to spend hours "remodeling," but now their rocks stay in place. Because there isn't any upheaval or disorientation, the boys are much more at ease. Humans are happier when turtles are happy.

Dispensing is a difficult task
3/5

This is a great product that does exactly what it should, but getting EXACT drops out is extremely difficult because when you squeeze the bottle - It's delivered in a STREAM format. It's possible that your water has been over-conditioned. It's best to get it in a smaller size so you can squeeze out droplets like you would with eye drops. You could waste a lot of product or poison your animals if you're not careful. This bottle could last for years if you take care of it. To drop the bottle safely, I recommend turning it upside down first, then squeezing it firmly. so - gently. Alternatively, the product can be transferred to a more suitable container. Best of luck!.

The label was ruined as a result of the leaks
3/5

I love reptisafe and buy it from my local pet stores all the time, but when they were out of stock, I decided to order it from Amazon, but it's terrible. Because Reptisafe is blue, I'm not sure why the packaging is dripping wet with purple liquid. br>br>EDIT: I'm dissatisfied. br>br> The purple liquid was a mix of reptisafe and the label paint; I was disappointed, but relieved it wasn't something worse.
