Can I use this on opossums? I have a litter of five that I'm trying to raise and release after a possum was hit by a car. ?

This is only for reptiles as far as I know, but I'm not an expert on mammals. I'd suggest looking for one that's designed specifically for small mammals.

Is there anyone who knows or cares to explain why Leopard Geckos require calcium powder? Without D3, licked out of a bowl?

I'm not sure about Leopard Geckos, but Bearded Dragons require calcium in their diet, and supplementing with powdered calcium is a simple way to ensure they get enough - Simply sprinkle it on their vegetables or use it to powder crickets, 2- Once a week, twice a week, and once a month, respectively. Because reptiles get their vitamin D from UVB bulbs, calcium powder containing D3 can lead to overdosing.

The package does not have an expiration date. Is there a point at which this calcium becomes ineffective?

It's just calcium with no expiration date.

It goes well with cheerios
5/5

This is something I really enjoy. It adds a boost to your morning breakfast. br>br>Sprinkle it on some cheerios and you're good to go. br>br>In reality, I mix this with water and soak my turtle's food in it, allowing it to dry before feeding it. She despises calcium bones, so I have to use deception to get her to eat her calcium, which works wonders. br>br>I "dose" her with about a teaspoon of it once a week, so I expect this to last for at least a year.

My beardie's activity has changed significantly
4/5

Whatever this powder does for my bearded lady Mavis, it must be similar to what calcium does for humans, because I noticed a significant difference in her activity when she was given this powder. I sprinkle some on her greens, and she appears to be climbing more, which is a good thing! It's really good!.

The product arrived in terrible shape
3/5

What went wrong! I was very excited to give this to my gecko when I got it in the mail today. It appeared to be in good condition on the outside, but when I opened it, I discovered that the foil seal had been crumpled and tampered with, the sides of the canister had been chewed on by an animal (which I can only assume), the inside of the cap had been burned around the edges, and there was a strong chemical odor. I'm not sure if this is typical of this product because I've never bought it before, but I doubt it. This one, in particular, appears to have been sitting in someone's garage for a few years before being sold to me. I'm sure this is a great product when it's brand new, but not when it's so beat up. I have the impression that I have been duped. This has disappointed and perplexed me, and I am hesitant to give it to my gecko.

Excellent products! It's ideal for diurnal reptiles and those who don't need the sun or UVB to metabolize vitamin D3
5/5

Love rep- products with calorie content! I take their reptile multivitamin and calcium with d3! I've used other brands before, but this is the one I've found to be the most effective if you want a product that will actually "stick" to your bugs.

It's good stuff, and it's odorless
5/5

There's a lot of it, and it's free. Repcal sold it to me. Even though Amazon stated that shipping would take 5 days, it took only 2 days. It will take 8 business days. In terms of the actual product, it is excellent. It should last at least a year, if not longer, for my sugar glider. I combine it with lean meat, yogurt, and apple sauce in a mixing bowl. Because it's in powder form, it's simple to incorporate into almost any dish that isn't already dry. Glider is completely unaware that it is present, and I have a picky one. As a result, there appears to be no odor. I can't smell it, but animals are more sensitive to smells than humans, and she has no idea that calcium is present. It keeps the bones strong, which is essential for preventing broken bones given the overall level of activity and distance these pets jump/glide. This calcium will help to keep your bones strong. Also prevents HLP, which is one of the most common causes of calcium deficiency in gliders. It's a little pricey (it cost me around 11 dollars to ship), but there's a lot of it in this 4. 1 oz jar. I'm going to buy more.

It has a good hold
5/5

I've always had trouble getting the flukers calcium to stick to insects, but this one does a lot better, not perfect, but good enough that I don't have to worry about my leopard gecko getting enough calcium. The extra few dollars over other brands are definitely worth it.
