The back of the stall has attachments so you can add fencing from other play sets you may have, and the "wash area" mat is made of rubber! I really like all of the extra details, especially the saddle and the brick. This is why I enjoy purchasing these for my daughters, and they enjoy playing with schleich as well! This set appears to be a better deal than purchasing the wash area separately. For an additional $10, you can get the stall as well as the apple-feeding area.

The improved figure was the first thing they noticed when they opened the box. It's not perfect (I'd like to see the figure's legs bend so he can ride the horse), but it's a huge improvement over the previous versions. I've included a comparison photo of the old and new figures in a fixed position. It is clear that there has been a significant improvement. In the photo, you can also see schleich's incredible attention to detail when it comes to the horses. The mare's mane has incredible detail, and the little foal has a "wet" looking nose and shiny eyes, giving it a remarkably realistic feel for children's play. The only aspect of the game that I didn't enjoy was the sticker situation. I didn't like that a sticker had to be added to the medicine bottle because the horseshoe stickers are TINY and I imagine they will fall off and look weird over time. This set is a big hit with my 5-year-old daughter. However, on the first day she played with it, she was cleaning up and thought she needed to take apart the stable to clean up, and the plastic pieces that hold the roof on snapped and broke in two places on the same side, breaking her new toy and preventing her from playing with that part since. She continues to play with the horses and fence, but it's a shame they were so easily broken. I contacted the manufacturer about a week ago and have yet to receive a response regarding a replacement piece for the stable, which is extremely disappointing. I'd give the horses and figures 5 stars, but the stable is like china plastic and, in our case, broke on the first day. I'm not impressed with either the company or the horses so far.

Ok. Genevieve has moved on from collecting every hard plastic animal we could find and their offspring to a passion for all things horse-related. Some of the items don't appear to be particularly substantial or attractive to me, but if my 7-year-old granddaughter wants it, I'll accept it. I received it and wrapped it in time for Christmas. It appears to be a little flimsy, but perhaps when she opens it, I'll be pleasantly surprised. I have a feeling she'll enjoy it.

We received the box and it was missing some of the advertised toys, so we requested a replacement, which arrived with the same missing pieces! It comes with the horse, girl, and washstand (the main items), but the apples, helmet, and washstand tye were missing on BOTH orders. It wasn't a big deal, but my kiddo gets into her "horsing" around playdates, so it was a disappointment not to receive all of the pieces as advertised.

Toys for horse-obsessed children that are both adorable and accurate. My daughter is a horse trainer, so all of the little extras that come with these toys add a lot to the fun. She's set up her stables, arenas, and wash racks, as well as mare and foal areas. My dining room table has been taken away by her large horse operation, but the joy she derives from these toys is well worth it! She'll put her phone and laptop aside to play with these.

I purchased the toy a few months before it was unwrapped. When attempting to put it together, a peg broke in the door, and a rail was defective and would not click into place. I sent pictures and an explanation to the seller. I attempted to return the item to the seller for a refund, but they refused to give me a complete refund. They only offered 10 of the toy price and I would be required to pay for the return. I turned down the invitation. The seller did not stand behind their product, which was a disappointment.

The absence of the apples, as well as the riding helmet, disappointed my granddaughter greatly. both of which are depicted in the product description Either the quality control is lacking, or we received a used item that was not returned in its entirety.
