This feed scoop is great and will last a long time. It's extremely durable and should last for many years to come. The only downside was that I placed multiple orders. When they packaged the scoops, they pushed two scoops together, one inside the other, so that one was stuck inside the other. And when I say "stuck together," I mean it. They were genuinely entrapped in each other's company! I tried everything I could to pry them apart, but it didn't work. Don't be discouraged if this happens to you. I took out a rubber mallet, held one and tapped the other, and they came loose fairly easily after that without causing any damage to either of them, despite the fact that one fell to the floor. There wasn't even a scratch.
The rounded edge, easy-to-grip handle, overall size, and metal composition were all factors in my decision. The construction is sturdy, and while the handle is heavier than a plastic alternative, it is easy to grasp for older people who may require a more substantial grip and balance than a traditional scoop can provide. There are no dings or scratches on the item.
The stamped metal edges are *extremely* sharp, which is my only complaint. I slashed myself in an unexpectedly deep way. For the price, they could spend a few minutes grinding down the edges during production. Still. It's something I'd buy again if the opportunity arose.
I have a pellet smoker, and I've always scooped pellets from the bin into it with plastic cups. until I realized what was going on. What's the harm in using a feed scoop? The pellets appear to be identical! This is, without a doubt, the best pellet smoker method! I can't believe I hadn't thought of this before. The Scoop is sturdy and holds a lot of weight without being too difficult to lift. It's just right.
I was fed up with flimsy, breakable dog food scoops. This is ideal - It's big enough to feed a couple of big hounds and small enough to scoop with one hand. This item is extremely durable. The right thickness of metal was used to ensure that it would last for many years without becoming too heavy. The handle is large and comfortable to hold. For a secure fit, the bottom is press crimped.
It works. The materials appear to be of good quality, and it serves as a reliable scoop for wood pellets in my pellet grill. I'm not sure what else you can say about a scoop besides that the handle is pretty comfortable and the balance is nice; I'm not sure what else you can say about a scoop besides that. If I needed another, I would definitely purchase this one.
During the winter, I use it to spread salt or sand on my driveway and walkways. I've used plastic scoops in the past, but the handles eventually broke off due to the force required to scoop up damp sand or clumped salt; this one, on the other hand, works perfectly. and is well-suited to transporting the items listed above.
