I don't think there's any reason why it shouldn't be done. They're compact and simple to maneuver around buckles. And there are so many that you could just throw them away once you're done with them.
I'm not familiar with saddle soap, Larry. br>Mink oil is what I'm using and it's great. Mink oil is simple to apply and leaves a pleasant feeling on the skin. It also enhances the appearance of the car. br>Hand size sponge is something I'd like to have more of. What do you think of saddle soap? Have you ever used it? This is the first time I've used mink oil, and it appears to work!

Synthetic, without a doubt. I've been using them for a long time and continue to enjoy them.

My older western leather jackets are currently being cleaned and oiled with this product. So far, saddle soap and Obenauf's leather oil have had no effect on the sponges. They'll probably work just as well on my saddle and halters, too. These will make cleaning and caring for the leather seats in my truck even more convenient. Also, if you want your sponges to last longer, store them separately in zip-lock bags. Label the lock bags with the application they were used for.
While dirty towels appear to multiply in the night while we sleep, sponges appear to be plotting their mass exodus. You never seem to be able to locate one when you require one. br>br>Joking aside, these sponges are a great size and consistency for cleaning tack, they're affordable, and there's enough in the bag that we won't run out (at least for a while).
I had trouble figuring out what dimensional size a number 14 was, but I was in a hurry and didn't give it much thought. The original plan was to use these to replace a worn-out body sponge in the shower, but they won't suffice. Sponge is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand; this isn't to say it's bad or defective; it's just that it's small. I use them for auto waxing and wheel detailing, as well as other household tasks. It won't be a waste, and the price is reasonable.
Tack sponges are great for cleaning all types of leather, not just equestrian tack (I use them on my husband's handcrafted dress shoes, my riding boots and saddles, and leather furniture). With a bucket and some saddle soap, you'll be ready to go. Keep your sponge wrung out to get the best results. They're usually cheaper at the feed store or through equestrian catalogs, so I buy them there. This time, I got a better deal, and I'm hoping it stays that way.
The jars used to make wood polish for my antique kitchen ware collection are the perfect size. So far, it's held up well and hasn't soaked up any water. It should be neither too big nor too small. These sponges will also be used to polish my boots. The polish clings to the top of the sponge and to whatever you're polishing. I would purchase this item again.
I have some filthy tack and bought these along with a bar of glycerine to clean it up. These were ideal for assisting me in cleaning the tack and getting it ready for the show. I have no reservations about recommending these.
These are the tough little yellow sponges found in almost every tack room and barn from coast to coast. and perhaps even further. They're popular for a reason: they're excellent at cleaning tack and can withstand grime, saddle oil, lotions, potions, and whatever else you can throw at them. When you have a pack of these little fellas on hand, no kitchen sponge will suffice; however, they always make me crave shortcake.
I bought these on the spur of the moment. I've always cleaned my tack with regular household sponges and thought they were fine, but these little sponges do a fantastic job of cleaning leather! It's as if they quickly remove the dirt and sweat from your saddle. My only reservation is this: I'd prefer these sponges to be larger, but because I like them, I'll see if there is a larger version available.
