There is a smell that buyers should be aware of. Although it might work better than other supplements. At first, it didn't seem to appeal to my horse. This supplement was mixed into his beet pulp, and I even added a few pieces of apple to make it more appealing. The apple pieces I gave him were gone after he ate them, but he did not take the supplement. Before he would eat his supplemented beet pulp, I had to cut down the scoop size to less than half his recommended ration.
