They're made of steel and are formed from a straight steel bar that's been rounded on the ends and punched with nail holes. This is backed up by the presence of mill scale.

This is the first time with diamond horseshoes that I've had this issue

When I opened this $90 box of horseshoes, I was very disappointed because I make things out of horseshoes, and the entire case is printed backwards, which isn't a big deal if you're actually putting them on horses, but it is if you're making things like I do.

These are what I use for welding projects over nice, clean shoes with no rust

I use these for welding projects over nice and clean shoes. There is no rust on any of them, and there isn't too much mill sale either. The only thing I don't like about them is that they have the size on the bottom, which the pictures don't show.
