The only place you could get a pump like this 50 years ago was Germany! A YEAR AGO I PURCHASED A GERMAN UNIT FOR BIG BUCKS. THIS SPEEDY LITTLE AIR PUMP IS PERFECTLY AS GOOD AS THE GERMAN AIR PUMP! THE PUMP THAT I IMPORTED IS STILL WITH ME. IF THAT'S not good enough, here's one that's just as good. Wouldn't it be great if I was back here in fifty years to say that they lasted just as long as the import? Are you familiar with the term "LONGEVITY"? We will have to wait and see how it turns out. It's a German pump that I've had to replace the rubber extruded frame on a few times in the past 50 years.

I am happy with the results

As a whole it is fairly quiet for a pump, which doesn't matter to me because I am using it for my hydro system, but when I put in the stones, it produces good bubbles and is not too loud if noise is a concern.
