Because this is the first set of specialized tools I've used for a planted aquarium, I'm comparing them to the common household items I've been using (scissors, spatulas, and so on). Overall, the experience is far superior to not having specialized tools and having less control. Professional-grade tools are probably better (and more expensive), but these work just fine for me. br>br>They've held up well so far, and haven't broken or rusted. I do give them a quick wipe down before storing them, so I assume that if you're not careful and store them wet, they'll rust (just like any other metal tool). br>br>So far, my favorite tool is the tweezers; they're the perfect size and length for burrowing dwarf hairgrass into the gravel, making it much easier than using short standard tweezers, which are too small. Curved scissors are also useful for trimming the leaves from the stems that are way down in the gravel.
These little gadgets were fantastic. My son and I used them to aquascape his two small aquariums, as we are trying to increase the density of the tanks by growing plants. They worked well, and my son has been occupied for hours trying to feng shui the tanks. Darn it, they appear to be more attractive than our home. LOL.
When it came to caring for my Erlenmeyer flask terrarium, these tools were extremely useful. I can trim and adjust plants, rocks, and other items through the opening with the scissors and tweezers. These are high-quality utensils that are also reasonably priced - It comes highly recommended! Delivery was quick, and the packaging was excellent. Everything was in perfect condition when it arrived.
Aquascaping is a lot easier with these! My hands don't dangle in my fish tank when I trim plants because the scissors are long enough. It appears to be of good quality, and it came with a dish net, which I appreciated.
The product is of good quality, and the length is ideal for my small 5 gallon tank; my fingers only come into contact with the water when I vacuum to rearrange items. I've been using it on a weekly basis for the past three months.
The spatula was unfortunately broken, and the welded top piece was missing. The rest of the items were in good condition and appeared to be made of stainless steel. I like how long it is. It's simply not worth going through the hassle of returning something.
None of them have rusted after several uses without being wiped dry. br>br>The tools appear to be well-made and effective at removing items without getting wet.
This kit was purchased to make trimming the plants in my fish tank more convenient. When I first placed my order, I was concerned about the set's durability and quality, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it appears to be a high-quality, long-lasting set. br> There's a nice selection of tools included, and I was almost tempted to buy a single pair of scissors for $12. At a fish store, it was 99 cents. I was overjoyed to discover that this entire kit could be had for less than that, and that it included scissors.
