For my 30 gallon tank, I use it as a divider. I haven't had to cut yet, but you can if you like. You should be able to use it more easily if you use it on the tank's bottom.
can understand why they may not interlock, but looking at them horizontally, they don't look like they do.
The bending ability of the silicon version of it is no better than that of the ceramic version. Using enough force to bend it would result in it cracking and breaking.
As well as suction cups, there were no hooks

My expectations were way too optimistic as it was very flimsy and flexible. I'd probably put it in the bottom of the tank if I didn't have any issues.
Due to the fact that I am building a crate to go at the top of my tank so my turtle can bask, I did not buy suction cups. He's a pretty big guy, so I had to double the numbers. Additionally, I had to grind some tabs onto the tank so it would sit properly at the top. The clips would be much easier to use if the angles were 90 degrees, since that would make them much easier to clip together. I expect that they will work exactly as I expected.
All of these seem great to me. When I first linked them, it was challenging, but once I understand what I am doing, it really wasn't that difficult. You may want to double the grids if you need to support a lot of It is possible to cut them to size if you have the wire cutters and/or connect them to get the desired size. These can also be attached to suction cups. There seems to be an almost infinite number of possibilities with what you can use these.
Fortunately, this divider is very adaptable. I was able to piece it together and cut some pieces to fit my aquarium. It was the size of the holes that caused my problem. A Discus fry was being eaten by my cousin, so I was trying to keep it from happening. I was surprised to notice that the Cardinal Tetra were eating all my Discus fry as they swam through the holes. There is no blame to be placed on the divider, only on me.
When I need to net fish in my 75 gal, I will use these to give them a smaller area in which to do so. This works well for me. These holes are large enough so neon can pass through. It's a bit difficult to connect them, but once they're connected, they remain together.
These items are being ordered for the second time. set of 6 I received the first time was made up of six pieces. I wasn't expecting them to be quite so thin, but they turned out to be much smaller than I had anticipated. Thus, I ordered a second batch of the same cookies, only to receive three less. had to use eight of them in total to cover the bottom of my 48" long tank.
To lock them in place, these will need some adjustment. The dovetail wedges of all of the pieces needed to be trimmed with a hobby knife so that they would fit into another piece's dovetail joint. The material is cheap plastic from China, but with a bit of work it meets my needs.
I used this in the back of my SMART car so that the engine would have plenty of ventilation with the stuff I would often.
