Since I am a vet tech who has seen every kind of dog mouth and every state of dental disease, if your dog's teeth are caked with cement, get your dog to the vet right away. If there is tartar on your teeth, you probably need to have them cleaned. Although great for preventing cavities and getting rid of caked-on food, these are also great for maintaining dental health I got rid of some plaque and tartar, and my breath was fresher. Greenies and OraVet chews used to be my dog's favorite, but they would almost swallow them whole, since they were too large for him.
