Questions & Answers

Why does it take me 20 minutes to figure out what this product is about? At this point, shall I call it a day?

This is (a dog toy's) skin. Inside, the call vibrates and makes a variety of noises. My dog adores it to the point where I had to replace the body (skin) and the ball. Because it was left outside in the rain, the ball died. br>You should be able to locate the entire toy (which we refer to as mousey). It is a big hit with my Pomeranian. For years, this has been a personal favorite of mine.

This is a new toy for me. Although it is immobile, it barks and cries. Is it supposed to move at all?

If anyone else has this issue, please let me know: The toy was bounced down the stairs a few times by my dog. It continued to make noise but came to a halt. When I removed the skin, I discovered that the ball's two halves had become twisted. The problem was solved and the toy worked as intended after I realigned them so that the protective walls around the on/off switch were again in the correct place.

Is it possible to use it on carpet as well as hardwood and tile floors?

It works equally well on carpet as well as hardwood and tile floors.

I'm not even sure where to look for the button - What is the location of it?

The hard plastic ball has a button on it. To find the button, undo the Velcro that holds the cover in place and move the ball around until you find it. When the button stops wiggling after three aaa batteries have been installed, you can push it through the cover. It takes some getting used to, but it's well worth the effort because my dog adores it.

Velcro, battery compartment, and opening But when it's done right, it's a lot of fun
4/5

I would purchase this item again.   Overall, the winner is. You'll need a set of small, thin screw drivers from the Dollar Store or you'll never be able to remove the screws. It took me ten minutes to complete the following tasks: br>1) Locate the Velcro opening. br>2) Remove the TWO (2) screws that hold the ball closed. br>3) Remove the 1st (3rd) screw from the battery compartment. br>4) Before you tuck the Velcro piece inside the cover, push the square button. br>5) Finally, it's time to playbr>HOWEVER, once it's done, DO PUSH SQUARE ON- OFF button IT WAS SO MUCH FUN TO tuck the Velcro cover together! br>I'm not sure if batteries have a long life-cycle. AAA (Triple A), but we had a good hour of fun with it. It was a hit with our Aussie, who isn't particularly destructive. br>I'd say that if your dog is rough with his toys, you should get him a new one. If your dog likes to pull toys apart, you'll either need to pay close attention or this isn't the toy for him. br>When it comes to toys, our Aussie isn't too rough. When it jumped around inside his mouth, he was startled, but that didn't stop him from dragging it by the tail. Shake it as hard as you can. br>We paid $13 for a night of fun with our Aussie, and it was well worth it. br>I would purchase this item again.

Update: 1/25/20 This is a brand new design
5/5

Old: From both the dog and the owner. Update: As a result, they underwent a redesign, which had both positive and negative aspects. I absolutely adore the new skin! The loop that secures the tail over the inner pouch is ideal for preventing a dog from chewing that part off right away. The actual ball is the most problematic aspect of the redesign. There are no longer any screws holding it closed. Instead, it's a twist open/twist close situation. Unfortunately, my dog twists it open as part of normal play, causing it to lock or clack loudly when it spins and hits the inside of the shell. Because I have to pull it out to get back in, I despise the new tail design. In general. The ball's shell should revert to the old model, which is a great skin redesign. br>br>From the dog's point of view, as a two-year-old boxer, this is the best thing since sliced bread and butter. It makes noises, wiggles, and vibrates so much that he can't see straight when he puts it in his mouth. He discovered within two minutes that he could throw it or whip it around by the tail to activate it, and he drained a full set of batteries in a single day. He sits in front of the cabinet and stares when we take it down and put it back up. This is a good toy from the standpoint of the owner. br>br> I had one of those my doll, my life hoverboard remote control things before I got it, and he used to chase it until the battery died and I had to recharge it. Unfortunately, that product is no longer available, so I had to come up with another way for him to pass the time. So, how about we get down to business? 1. br>br> If you have a small dog, what is the most important factor to consider? I'm sure it's a fantastic toy for them. They can't get their mouths around the entire thing, so it lasts longer. Is it suitable for a large dog? This won't last long if your dog enjoys biting his toys. Any dog owner understands this, and blaming the company for it is a fool's errand. It isn't made of metal, but of plastic.
2. Duration of the skin. If your dog is anything like mine, he will sit and pin it down to chew on it. He will go straight for the parts that are easiest for him to chew on, which is the velcro because it bulges. There's still nothing to complain about to the boss. I used to have a small weiner dog who could rip the skins off new tennis balls in less than five minutes. It's just a dog, really.
3. Cost. For me, cost is a bit of a minefield. It's about the same price as a large lambchop squeak lamb, but it doesn't last nearly as long. Simply because this is something that my dog enjoys even more. Overall, it's an impossibility to find a toy that will never break. Dogs chew, bite, and chew with their teeth. So don't pay attention to the complaints in the lower reviews about the toy's durability; instead, consider how your dog interacts with toys and see if this is a good fit. Do you have a large dog who chews? There's a good chance you'll buy several. Do you have a small dog who is also a chewer? Prepare to make a purchase of skins. Not a chewer but a small dog? Will most likely last indefinitely. br>br>Dear Customer Service Reps, If you read this, I'd like to make an offer to have one of these delivered once a week; is there any way we can talk about a possible lower price? The once a month auto ship wouldn't work for us.

My dog was severely harmed by this toy
5/5

This was a gift for the first birthday of my English bulldog. I put it together and put it back in the box for him to open. As the box rattled and squealed across the floor, he went insane. He ripped the box to get to the toy in no time. He enjoys receiving new toys, but I've never seen him react in this way. My floor was literally covered in bulldog drool from him tossing it around, shaking it, and throwing it around for hours. I eventually had to take it away from him because he was having so much fun and wouldn't stop. This is a fantastic toy. I believe the toy will last a long time for the average dog, but I don't believe it was built to withstand 80 gallons of bulldog drool- We'll have to wait and see. It's still going strong despite being completely soaked. I will purchase it again if it is killed by my monster dog. br>So far, the only flaw I've noticed is that the on/off button is extremely sensitive and is frequently turned off by his actions. It would be preferable if there was a switch. It's not a big deal, but touching the drool-soaked tail is gross, but I keep doing it to see his fat face smile! br>This is a toy that I strongly recommend. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> It's been more than a month since we last saw each other. well. It was time for our furry little friend to meet his maker. Until the very end, my dog relished every glorious moment spent with his pal. I didn't think it would go on for as long as it did. I'm going to get him a new one.

15 Minutes for $15- Not suitable for large dogs
3/5

Our Great Dane (105 lbs) tore the tail off and ripped a hole in the fur covering within 10 minutes of receiving it. She cracked the hard plastic casing within the toy after another 5 minutes. Because the rotating part inside the toy now bangs against the case, the toy makes a horrible noise when it runs. While the velcro is strong, it appears to be misplaced or something because it's difficult to get a good'seal' on the fur cover; believe me, this will matter because you'll be constantly opening it to turn it back on after your dog chomps on it and hits the on/off button. I had to open the cover four times during the 15 minutes that the toy worked, and Kayla had to take it off three times. So subtract the time it took to break (15 minutes) from the time it took to put it back in its cover, and she probably had this toy for about 7 minutes. How long is it, exactly? The $15 was not well spent. Before it broke, Kayla gave it a good chomp a few times.
