This extra large chew toy is too big for a 10 pound Chihuahua's mouth. For a Chihuahua, our petite/x-large Nylabone toy is the best choice. Small toys that are suitable for dogs weighing up to 15 pounds.
On Amazon, this item comes in only two sizes: small and large.
This is a special edition of the book. It's a big chew toy for dogs who weigh more than 50 pounds.

This chew toy is not to be purchased. It was gnawed up by our dog. br>br>I'm sure we checked all of the "irresponsible pet owner" boxes when this happened (we weren't watching him like a hawk, he was 6 months old and outgrew the toy, etc. )br>br>The fact remains, our dog pulled this out of his toy box, broke it up, and CONSUMED it within seconds. Except for the tiniest of toy breeds, it is not safe, and I do not recommend any Nylabone plastic chews as a general rule. They shatter when they break. br>br> I've attached a picture of what we found in his stomach.
After conducting extensive research on the nylabone and discovering what the product is made up of and manufactured in China, I threw away all three of my dog's favorite toys. Beware.
I bought a lot of Nylabones for my Golden Retriever and Labrador Retriever. When the dog bit down on it, despite the fact that it was rated for "extreme" chewers, it immediately disintegrated. Within 10 minutes of giving the bone to the dog, I discovered small chips of blue material on the floor where she chewed it. I had to throw away the bone as soon as I removed it. Shortly after, the dog vomited twice, with small pieces of the blue bone visible in both cases.
It would be an understatement to say that my son is a power chewer. We've bought a lot of "tough" toys that he's destroyed in a matter of minutes. I'm always concerned because he wants to EAT what he destroys, so the black kong bone is missing chunks of rubber from his constant chewing. So I got this bone, but I wasn't sure what to make of it. This is the damage he's managed to do after a week of constant chewing (literally the only time he doesn't chew on it is when he's sleeping or in his kennel). No missing chunks or swallowed pieces, just chewed up edges! This is something I highly, highly recommend!.
This was purchased for our new black lab puppy's teething needs. along with a few hundred dollars' worth of other teething aids (imagine a sarcastic eye roll) Trying to get him to stop chewing on my boots, socks, office chair, hair ties, bed frame, and anything else he considers "chew-worthy. " worthy" (again, with a sarcastic expression on his face). He was completely uninterested in this particular "beef flavor" chew toy. I was irritated and disappointed because nyla bone is usually a win for us (I also have a teen German Shepherd, so you know I'm crazy). br>Of course, it could just be my puppy and his belief that he is a prince who can do and have whatever he wants, but I'm pretty sure it's the lack of flavor to entice him to chew. Although it says beef flavor, I believe the one we received had little to no flavor to encourage him to chew on it. I'm afraid I won't be buying this one again.
He goes by the name "Bear," and he lives up to it. Plush toys are an automatic 'no-go' because it would be essentially throwing money out the window, especially with how he goes through tree branches, soup bones, and so on. Strong, aggressive chewers will love these Nylabones! Bear had cracked one Nylabone, but it had been one he had been chewing on for more than a year. Easily worth the money, and I would recommend them to anyone who owns a large breed dog. Best of luck!.
This toy is a big hit with my son. It satisfies his desire to chew. Before I brought my bulldog puppy home, I did a lot of research on what to get him for chewing so he would have something to do when he got home and would stay off my furniture. He's been all over it so far, but he's stayed away from my shoes and furniture. He adores the way it smells and tastes. He shoves it into his mouth and lays down with it, savoring it thoroughly. Additionally, it is the ideal size. The X shape makes it easier for him to grasp and chew. So far, it appears to be in good condition. We went to PetSmart today and saw this version in Nylabone for larger dogs, so I'll be ordering it as well once he reaches that stage. I will definitely be a Nylabone customer in the future for my pup's chew toys.
These were recently delivered to replace other Nylabone products that my three dogs loved but eventually destroyed after a year of constant chewing. We have a Bullmastiff and two Olde English Bulldogges, all of which are heavy chewers. They can destroy a soft toy in under a second, a rubber toy in under a minute, and most large rawhides in under five minutes. Solid Nylabones, Kongs, and ropes are the only toys that last longer than a day. The axis shape was one of the factors that influenced my decision. All dogs enjoy chewing on their toys with their feet, and this shape allows them to do so while getting a good grip and chewing on any of the four ends. The photos were taken just a few minutes after the bulldogs received their UPS packages. They already adore them, and they were completely oblivious to the fact that I was quietly retrieving the old mutilated toys and tossing them away while they were distracted.
