I have a lab and a beagle that chew a lot. Chewing sticks is a favorite activity for both of them, and they both loved this stick. Due to the price difference of just one dollar between the large and medium, I was a little disappointed by the minor size difference. It cost five times what the medium cost. We've tried to find toys that are both fun and safe for her since she destroys everything we give her. This means lots of vomiting and worries about broken teeth as she chews everything we give This is the first Benebone product that we have had success with, and it is a I think it's the only toy we've gotten her that she's actually a bit possessive of -- she presses her nose against it or just licks it for long periods of time. Due to the fact that this is softer than most of their toys, she has been able to whittle down two of the protrusions within a month of getting it. I'll be buying more in the future.

In the past, I have ordered MANY benebones and they have always been the only bones I gave to It was awful, however, this one in particular. This stick broke apart so easily after my dog chewed on it for 30 minutes. I don't know if it was because of its shape (the wishbone shape is best) or if it was super old, but the whole thing tore into chunks within 30 minutes. There has never been an event like this In order to prevent him from ingesting any more pieces, I threw it away as soon as I found out. In the future, I will stick to the wishbone-shaped.

All of my Great Dane's Belebones are her favorites, however the maple stick is her absolute favorite. Her owners allow her to keep the stick in the house, so she thinks she's very lucky. There are no pieces that come off when they chew it, so it's much more durable than Nyla bones. All of her other friends tend to go straight for her benebones in her toy box, but now she has a few of her own. Several of my bullies are excessive chewers, and I own four of them. I was not exactly sure how they would do after removing from the packaging, but instead they sprinted out of the room happy and galloping with their new toys, so I immediately forgot about the money (chew toys are a consistent expense for our household with four XL dogs).
