Questions & Answers

What is the approximate number of ornaments that this will produce?

If you follow the directions, it makes one ornament. Another smaller container may allow you to make two ornaments if you have a little dog and use that for a mold.

Are there any plans to make one for an English Mastiff?

The size of a dog's paws determines how much bite is required. These are the dimensions of the ornaments It measures 5" to 5" high by 5" to 5" wide. The diameter of the circle is 75”. In circumstances where the paw is larger than 5 5/8 inches by 5 1/4 inches, it may not be possible.

Is it supposed to be so soft once it is ?

A good cotton shirt should have a soft feel and be lightweight but not still malleable like a playshirt. That was stupid.

What is the best way to keep the material soft if it has already been taken So, perhaps later this evening I can try again with my cat who is not cooperating. ?

A container with an air tight seal will do. Furthermore, I had rolled out clay left over after I made the first ornament, so I figured I would make the second As it was already cut into a round shape, I covered it with a damp paper towel and placed it on a piece of foil. I'm happy with it! I made a second beautiful

My second dog wanted one too, so I picked up a matching one to match the first
4/5

It's easy to use and allows you to be creative. I received one as a gift for my first dog. The first thing to remember is that these will never serve as We're talking about a paste that doesn't harden, so we don't need to bake it or anything else. There is almost a waxy feel to this It is a dough texture that you roll out, press their hand into, and then it gradually hardens to rubber over the next few hours. When you roll it out, there is actually enough material in one to make more than one ornament if you roll it out smaller than the cutter they supply (they supply everything except foil to help keep the material smooth as you roll Initially, the roller may hurt your hands, but after a while it becomes easy (I went on to make 4 ornaments in the end). It will show all the dirt on their paws, so be sure to thoroughly clean them before pressing them This is a non-toxic product, safe for them. As soon as it dries, it can also be painted on. My kids' names were painted in the bottom so we could identify whose ornament was whose. I bought regular art project paint from Michael's. Moreover, it is a very malleable material. I have made two other ornaments from For the pet that passed, I sculpted them into bones, cut out letters and stuck them on top, and painted the whole thing once it dried (for pets that have passed away). The results will look somewhat like a kids craft, but that's not the point. If you want to purchase something that looks formal and is fired in a kiln, then this would be not the product for you. As for me, I highly recommend it if you just want something fun to remember your pet by, and you enjoy doing things on your own (plus the resulting memories made for great memories with my pups). There are all kinds of pretty, porcelain 'Gotcha Day' ornaments on Etsy, but these are the ones I get to remember making with them, those are the fun, family ornaments.

A simple break can be made
3/5

In other words. I found this to be very simple The advantage of that is enormous. As I have pointed out - this doesn't get really hard and if not handled with care can easily break or crack. When I made the circle, I had an excess of pieces left over, so I made a few other shapes from Within two days, both had been checked. It was hard to make the pieces I made. In fact, they were extremely soft even after they had been dry for 10 hours as stated. It was very easy for me to break the pieces I made. A circle with a paw print on it. The paper is thick but I didn't make it thin. I love how soft it is. Since doing it two weeks ago, things have been going well. This is not a quality I am happy with. It looked like this was going to get really hard. There was no way I could bend or break In this case, it is not the case.

If you aren't willing to deal with the possibility of it breaking, I don't recommend this product. In order to find another product, I will search the Internet.

I find it to be a good material for printing imprints on
4/5

Overall, this is a good, inexpensive way to create memories together with your pet. and items in the kit are simple, items that you could probably scrape together from your own home, but it's packaged into a handy box for easy You can read the instructions in a dozen languages and they are simple Don't let the extra text cause you to lose focus! Take a few minutes to read the instructions first to get a better understanding of what activity you will be participating in. Here are a few things you should Working quickly with the impression material is essential. You can use play-if you have experience with it That is a bonus, if you are working with playdoh or clay. As soon as you open the foil pouch containing the impression material, you will find the mound shaped like a dome Plastic wrap was used to wrap the product. Despite its malleability and pleasant scent (coconut oil? ), it is not a durable material. There is a smell to it. There is some adhesion, but you can roll the impression material into a ball and push any remnants away from the plastic sheet by lifting away the material itself. 1) Make sure your workspace is spotless and 2) Make sure your pet is nearby so that he or she can make a clean print on the ground. As you can see from the images on the box, my imprints are not as clean as the one You must provide your own foil to line your work surface and 4) you must prepare your work in advance The ornament needs to dry before it can be used. To make one larger ornament from the impression material, I ended up cutting it into four (two circular ornaments, one organic and one heart shaped paper weight) rather than sticking with one. I found this to be an advantage as my dog is small and I was able to make multiple prints with his In the case of a larger dog, such as a St. Bernard (or any dog with a very large paw), this technique might not work. The cookie cutter shape I used for this ornament was not exactly the desired one though, so you may need to dig those out as well, as I had to shape my ornament by hand after purchasing this material. Overall I enjoyed using this material and would recommend it, especially for those who are avid crafters. Compared to clay, this material is relatively easy to deal with and is not messy at all. Besides not having to bake the ornament, it is low maintenance and does not require much maintenance, but it does need to fully dry for a few days. If you are working on a tighter budget, this may be something you need to consider.

I really like how easy it is I really like how easy it is Simply roll up the dough and try again if you make a mistake
4/5

With the amount of dough provided, I was able to make three round footprints. It is a joke that the cookie cutter is provided Size-wise, it is not much bigger than a dinner plate, not even If you are using a round cookie cutter, shape it with a glass. Aside from being light and foamy, my only complaint is the final product It does not have the solid ceramic feel I was hoping It is hard to imagine them weighing anything so I hope they will last for Tip Make sure your dogs' feet are thoroughly cleaned before they stamped! When I tried it for the first time, some dried mud and rocks were present.

A great way to remember your dog's special moments
4/5

This was a gift to a friend whose dog is not long for this world, and I wanted to give him a lasting It seemed like a good idea to give her this because she has such a gorgeous Christmas tree. It is very simple (and there are multiple languages available) I have a question about the plastic cutting circle I thought it would be the perfect size for an ornament. This photo shows what I mean. A large jar cap helped me separate the circle from the roll. I rolled out the dough and used it to separate the circle from the roll. In addition, I added a charm of a dog's paw as well as letter beads spelling out the dog's name. It was difficult to get the letters and charm out when it dried, so I pried them out and spray-painted them A gold metallic paint was applied to the ornament. Once the letters and charm were replaced with superglue, I covered them with a clear plastic sheet. Alternatively, you can use a sharp knife to slice the rolled out dough into another shape, like an octagon, after pressing the dog paw into it.
