It does take a while for them to break down (about twice the amount of time it adds to my green composter for veggies) but I have a dedicated composter for it and these break down much faster than any other bags.
It was the first time I ordered these bags and I was disappointed that most of them had a large rip down the middle. Those weren't able to be used at all. This is the first time I have ordered Bio Bags through Amazon, and had I noticed the defect at the time, I would have returned them. If you didn't notice the slit down the center of the bag, you discovered it when you picked up dog waste with your bare hands. We didn't find the problem until we got to the last couple of boxes.

This is a very poorly constructed bag, and bio bags in general seem to work really well. They got a dog earlier this year and love her so much, but they hate picking up after her when they take her on walks. In contrast with the other bags we were using, my daughter did not have to suffer like the plague. The bags she carries do not cause her much complaint. I definitely think these are superior to the rolls we got from PetSmart they are softer and slightly thicker, and they are biodegradable, which is a huge bonus.
