She's a sassy old lady (12 years), and as she's gotten older, she's become increasingly picky. I was adding Blue Buffalo Homestyle Recipe Senior Chicken Dinner with Garden Vegetables Wet Dog to her Blue Buffalo Wilderness Nature's Evolutionary Diet - Blue Buffalo Wilderness Wilderness Wilderness Wilderness Wilderness Wilderness Wilderness Wilderness Wilderness Wilderness Wilderness Wilderness Wilderness Wilder Adult Dry Dog Food with Salmon Recipe I was only using about 1/4 of the can per feeding and refrigerating the rest, but I noticed that mold would grow even if the food was refrigerated if she didn't eat it within the first 12 hours, and even the leftovers in the fridge would get mold, but only in small amounts. This is why, rather than buying large cans, I wanted to buy single-serve wet food. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because there were only 23 pouches instead of 24. Maddie, on the other hand, was out of wet food, and I didn't want to wait for it to be returned and a new package to be sent back. There's also a little more gravy than meat, which Maddie doesn't mind.
My labradoodle is about 22 pounds and is a miniature labradoodle. I ordered this Topper by accident, thinking it would be a fun treat. My dog, on the other hand, is a huge fan. I combine it with dry food in a 50/50 proportion. The Topper is moist and blends well with the dry food, giving it a flavorful coating. The ingredients are excellent, and I trust the Blue Buffalo brand; however, the liquid is starchy, and you must clean the dog food bowl on a regular basis. We don't have much of a problem because our dog licks it clean.
I got a box of all-salmon dog food in the mail! I have no idea how that happened because there isn't even a salmon flavor option available. I didn't return it because my dog seemed to enjoy it, but salmon-flavored dog food was not what I had anticipated. It will be wonderful in the future to receive exactly what was ordered rather than something completely unrelated.
We must thoroughly combine it with his dry food, or else he will pick them out and eat only the toppers. He starts freaking out as soon as we take a pack out of the box. They are absolutely adored. I like that they are individually packaged and will last a long time; his fur has also become much more lustrous since eating these. Included is a photo of the ever-hungry puppy.
Rio had never been known to be picky. He gets Blue Buffalo dry, and one of the cat's cans of whatever I grab or a can of prime cuts; I used to cook for him, but I'm a lazy slug these days, so I opted for the topping out of what, guilt? He isn't happy about it. I'm going to wait and try again, or the rescue lady is going to get everything. Personally, I didn't care for the odor or color, but it's not because of anything wrong with me; it's just my sensitive sense of smell.
My dogs adore this food, and the salmon is beneficial to her digestion; however, the case was missing five packs of food, and this is not a cheap product. Because the box was sealed, it appears to be misboxed. br> I emailed them, and they said they would not replace the 5packs but would send a treat instead. I did not purchase treats; instead, I purchased a CASE of salmon pouches; I am not requesting a case; rather, I am requesting the missing pouches. They haven't gotten back to me yet. As a result, I'm going to switch brands right now. There is good food, but the customer service is poor.
When it's time to eat, they know exactly where I keep it and are vocal about it. Many other dog foods are turned down by one of my dogs. She is completely devoted to this one. It's also reasonably priced. It's a big hit with my furkids.
She gets two pouches per day, one chicken and one beef, with a few small treats thrown in for good measure. She is six years old and does not appear to be overweight. The high protein content keeps her active and healthy, and they were created to make dry food more enjoyable and nutritious. They're a little on the pricey side, but it's worth it to know she's getting real meat, and she enjoys them.
