I purchased the chicken topper for my dog's dry kibble in January, but when I opened the bag, it had a foul odor and the color was off. I requested that Amazon replace the item with the beef topper, which was satisfactory. br>br>In August, I ordered another bag, but this time it was small pea size pellets rather than the finely ground topper. My dog was fine with a few of these pellets on her food because the smell and color were pleasant. This is the same blue bag with the words "beef topper" written on it. br>br>Last week, I ordered two bags of beef topper in the hopes of getting the pellet size, but instead got the finely ground topper. When I opened the bag last night, the smell was terrible, and the color was off, not the dark beef color I expected. br>br>I sprinkled a small amount on her dry kibble, and she turned her nose up at it but ate it anyway. I sprinkled a small amount of it on her kibble this morning, but she ignored it. br>br>She hasn't felt well all day, has become ill, and hasn't eaten any of her kibble. When I received three out of four bags with a strong odor and an odd color, I concluded that this company lacked quality control. br>br>I'll never buy this topper again, despite the fact that it claims to be 100% raw and freeze-dried. The quality isn't there, even though it's dried. Other recent reviews mention the odor and how it made their cats sick, so it's not worth it to use a product that can make a pet sick.
Vital Essentials is a fantastic brand, and my dogs and I both enjoy their products. My Yorkie has been thriving since I switched her to their patties. Her health problems were completely resolved. I wanted my large dog to partake in the goodness as well, but feeding her the patties would be prohibitively expensive, so the topper was the ideal solution. Every morning, I put some in her breakfast. She isn't fussy in the least, but she prefers the second-best option. When this is added to her kibble, she gets a whole new level of excited. Her coat has benefited greatly from the turkey flavor in particular. It's incredibly silky and soft. I believe it provides a significant nutritional boost, and I will continue to purchase it.
After doing a lot of research and trying out a lot of different canned and raw foods, I've found that Vital Essentials is the one that my cats love and thrive on the most. They both eat up all of their food without hesitation, and I no longer have to worry about them not eating enough. It comes with a scooper, which is very convenient, and it can be used as a meal replacement if your cat is having difficulty eating or prefers the topper alone. Because it's in the form of a powder, it's very simple to sprinkle on items or dissolve in water. The vital essentials brand has made a huge difference in my cats' health. Both of them used to be overweight, and one of them was recently diagnosed with diabetes, so I had to concentrate on finding the best food for them. I've tried a lot of great canned and raw cat foods, but this is their favorite; they're super soft and full of energy since eating it! This has improved the health of my cats, and I highly recommend it to anyone with a pet!.
food for a dry diet This food topping is a big hit with my cat! She's been put on a prescription diet to reduce regurgitation (we believe her stomach lining is being irritated by too much acid), but she despises the taste. I did some research on food toppings and was given this brand as a recommendation due to its high quality and reliable ingredients. She's so excited for her meals now that she even helps the alarm clock wake us up! We use less than a teaspoon on the dry food so the flavor benefits don't outweigh the diet's purpose, and she's thrilled. Her coat is shinier, she regurgitates less frequently (due to an overabundance of treats from another brand), and she looks forward to mealtime. The Chicken flavor has a salty aroma that reminds me of fish, and I occasionally pick out semi-cooked pieces of chicken. She doesn't mind soft shards of bone, and she doesn't mind eating them. br>br>Review for: br>br> Freeze-Dried Vital Essentials Grain that has been dried 6 oz. Free Toppers for Dogs and Cats.
I used to make my own raw food for my two cats, but with my ever-changing work schedule and limited free time, it became a huge chore. I've switched to feeding them grain-free wet food with this stuff mixed in, and they're completely enamored. They wouldn't touch any other freeze dried "raw" because the ingredients were so good and so close to what I was making them. The fluctuating price point, on the other hand, is extremely inconvenient. I'm down to about two days worth of supplies and need to reorder, but the price has jumped from $12 to $19? For 6oz? I don't believe so. I'd rather spend hours in the kitchen making something from scratch.
As toppings for my cats' food, I use dried chicken. I bought this because it said it was a great freeze-dried food. topping (dried) In comparison to another vendor who sells freeze-dried foods, the price was low. toppers that have been dried My two cats were not interested in this product at all; they sniffed it and walked away. I tried three times to get them to eat their food with this topper, and each time they sniffed it and walked away, leaving the food in the bowl. I eventually threw the product away and returned to my original vendor, who specializes in high-quality products. freeze-dried, high-quality Chicken that has been dried.
She follows a very strict and limited diet in which she is constantly exposed to the same foods, so this gives her plain chicken a unique flavor that she appears to enjoy. She doesn't even leave her kitty or any leftovers for her to enjoy, lol.
I wasn't sure if Cesar, my pickiest cat, would enjoy it, but I decided to give it a shot. When I served it as a side dish to his regular meal, he literally inhaled it! They put a lot of stuff in the bag for you. Because I don't use it every day, this topping will last us several months. Every other week, I give it to him as a treat. My cat is well-known to me. If he receives something other than his meal on a daily basis, he becomes bored. He is, without a doubt, a spoilt brat.
