After he had surgery to remove a metastasized tumor, we decided not to give him chemo. Dr. Harvery's Paradignm Green Superfood mix was used to immediately start him on a raw diet. We increased his caloric intake after he lost too much weight at first, based on Dr. Harvey's advice. After this adjustment, he began to gain weight and regained his youthful appearance. As I write this review over 14 months later, I'm overjoyed to report that he's doing so well. This dog food mix comes highly recommended by me for any dog in the same or similar situation. Our veterinarian discovered a small tumor, which was removed during a minor procedure, and the results revealed that it was Hemangiosarcoma, or blood cancer. There were two options available to us. 1) Have an ultrasound to see if the cancer has spread and do nothing, or 2) administer chemotherapy to her. We don't want chemotherapy for ourselves, so I'm not sure why I'd want to give our daughter this poison. Fortunately, the results showed that it had not spread, but other tumors may have been missed by the scans. We know the benefits of the Keto diet and how cancer prevention, if not elimination, is one of the major benefits of eating this way, so why not put our daughter on it? It's a lot easier to say than it is to do. There are some excellent dog foods available, but many, if not all, contain fruit or some type of carbohydrate to keep it together. Yes, a raw diet exists, but it is costly, time consuming, and not particularly user friendly. Dr. Harvey's paradigm is being introduced. What an incredible product! It's completely keto with added ingredients like turmeric, which helps to reduce inflammation. Simply combine a fat (we use fish oil and coconut oil) with a protein (we use frozen raw pieces from Northwest Naturals) and get out of the way because your dog will knock you down to get to this food. I've never seen my dog get as excited and whine for a food as he does when I make this. The time it took to re-start was 8 minutes. For her, hydrating takes an eternity; she will lick her bowl completely clean, then return a few minutes later to lick it again in the hopes that more will appear magically. Her demeanor has changed dramatically, and she has more energy than she has had in years. We could tell her back hips had been bothering her for a while because she was getting up slowly and laboriously, as if she had arthritis. She now leaps to her feet, unafraid to play and run at any moment. She's acting like this after only two weeks of eating this food. Her next scan, to see if her cancer has spread, is scheduled for next month. If her demeanor and energy are any indication, I'd say no; we're going to beat this horrible disease with the help of this incredible food, not the poisonous drugs that the oncologist claims are your only option. Thank you for making this, Dr. Harvey; I believe you have extended my dog's life and made her feel like a puppy once more; thank you from the bottom of my heart. br>br>*Update 9 months later
It's been 9 months since this horrible diagnosis, and I am happy to report she is still cancer free and still goes crazy when we make this food for her. We believe this food, along with the raw meat and vegetables we give her every day, has saved her life! She whines impatiently for her food and is still playful and full of energy; you'd never guess she was diagnosed with cancer!.

For many years, my dogs have been fed human food. We've done raw, cooked, and mixed it up. We've used JFFD, Darwin's, home cooked by me, honest kitchen, and others interchangeably with no problems, and we have a kennel of 28 special needs dogs. auto-immune problems - This is why we never feed our pets commercial pet food and instead feed them a ketogenic diet. My dog's stomach was torn apart by this stuff, and we tried it for a month or more. There's a reason you used slippery elm in this recipe - it's because it's slippery. because the STEMS in broccoli have been linked to GI problems in dogs- I'll tell you what I'm talking about: This is correct as well! There's more than one dog here. SEVERAL- after several rounds of metronidazole, Albon ang tylosin, and five different drool sample tests in an attempt to figure out why we were still having bloody stools - The food was switched. and poof! Everything had returned to normal. Broccoli is a good source of vitamins and minerals, but the stems are harmful to dogs. Come up with a new idea! I go through over 200 pounds of food per month, and you have unfortunately lost us as a client because we had to spend just as much on diagnostics and medications to compensate for the food as we did on the food.

I bought this after struggling to control the diabetes of my newly diabetic dog. Because there is too much garbage in dry kibble and questions about where the ingredients are sourced, I started cooking her meals. Cooking meat and vegetables on a weekly basis became overwhelming and time consuming, and I still felt she was lacking in important vitamins and minerals that I could easily supplement her diet with. I heard about Paradigm and decided to give it a try, but first I ordered a trial package from their website (it's free, but shipping is $5) to make sure she'd eat it. It's a dry/dehydrated mix of various vegetables and "good stuff" that you rehydrate, then top with meat and oil for a complete meal. Her blood sugar levels have stabilized and dropped, and the amount of time I spend in the kitchen cooking has been cut in half. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it's expensive; I buy the 6lb bag, which doesn't quite last a month for a 70lb lab, so it's roughly $100 per month. However, if you buy from Dr. Harvey's website, you'll receive periodic email savings offers that are extremely beneficial. I just saved $13 on a bag from their website this week, and I'll keep buying it for my dog, who is 11 years old and the best dog in the world, so she deserves it. She enjoys it as well.
