During our nine day trip, we had three beagles with us. This is the third of three travel-related costs I was able to feed each dog twice daily with two containers full of kibble and two "take out" soup containers full of kibble. I would say 1/2 cup is heaping. I would guess each cup will hold 8 ounces. In view of the price. *Em can't be the perpetrators. Both food and water bowls can be easily taken apart, cleaned and put back together again.

Thanks for the update. We just went on a road trip to South Dakota with our dogs. The containers held, if memory serves, 4 quarts of food each. The three of us even had enough kibble for a 9 day road trip between the take out plastic soup containers we bought and the kibble we brought along. I can access the site very easily. You can see the pictures of the purchase I am very pleased with. It will be perfect for my dog who eats 2 cups a day (for a 3 day supply of food). I'll use this as a 72 hour kit, I was pleased with how well made it was and that there was more space than I need. The container was about a half inch shorter than it should have been when I measured it. It is 5 inches long, but that was no problem for me because I was still able to add treats and a standard tennis ball to it.
