Is there a reason why they should be removed? In a can there are only 2 wheels and they are invisible and flush with the body (you would not see them without turning the can upside down). My husband just did this for you and he says that it doesn't seem like they are designed to come off without breaking. There is one thing I will say about the unit, it doesn't move (very) easily, so EVERY time you bump into it, it moves. I have no problems with it. It doesn't matter that we have one of their (Simple Human) trashcans for 8 years - it still looks great and still works perfectly (which is incredible since we always family members) have moved back and forth across the United States. It has been transported several times to Europe and is now there ( they shipped it! This arrived here quickly ). In the beginning, I never imagined I would be excited about trash cans (they could be used for trash), but now I own 2 and store my dog's food in them and I admire them!! In situations where I am in doubt about whether or not to purchase something, these reviews really come in handy. It is wonderful to have this "bin" at your disposal! Unlike the rubber seal on the lid, the lip of the container was firmly pressed against the lid. The dog food container in the house has never had ants in it. I have had ants in the bathroom, kitchen, and other places in the house. My kitchen has this in the cabinets, and unless the lid is open, you can't smell the dog food inside.

I am able to fit 25 lbs without the bag. Despite my best efforts, I couldn't fit a 25 lb bag of Royal Canin special diet (a mid-size kibble) in there because it was too unwieldy and I couldn't lift it. It would also be easier for me if the bag was kept sealed. Despite the fact that it offers no protection to my canine companion, we're able to keep him The IRIS bin he chewed when I forgot to store it in the closet fell to the floor.
A stainless steel locking trash can would be perfect for me since I have a dog that likes to destroy the trash. It has held up very well to the 130 lb mastiff trying to get into it, and the lid is very useful and nice to have. I purchased magnets online to mark the purpose of every can and to allow guests not to throw trash into the food jars since I purchased numerous cans for different purposes. It's not the most aesthetically pleasing, but it's very functional, and it's small enough and doesn't take up much room.

We are being lied to by the warranty. The Large Pet Food Storage Can was purchased on October 11, 2015, and was intended to be used as a dog-proof garbage bin. I found it to be very useful. I thought it looked As a result of dog damage, the plastic latch on the can broke last week (12/15/15). It was too large to return to Amazon, so they would not allow it It has been 30 days since the last update. There is no problem since Simplehuman provides a warranty of 10 years. Our email was answered, after several days, that Simplehuman's product is out of warranty. The customer service representative offered us a 20% discount on a new product if we could provide a picture of the problem. Although we won't ever buy another Simplehuman product again, we promise not to be so stupid.
My favorite part of this dog food container is the lid. It's quite easy to fit a new 25-pound Merrick puppy food bag into this 25-litre can with space left over to contain the remaining food from the previous bag as well. Like some other people have stated, I do not put the actual food bag in. If you are not familiar with it, it takes only a few times of using it to figure out how to undo it really fast. Once you are, then you don't think about it anymore. Although I like the built in scoop and the magnetic mounting, I have found it a bit difficult to remove from the base. The key to popping it off is pinching and gripping it just right so you can get leverage behind it. If I wanted, I could tape it in place to make the magnet weaker, but so far it hasn't bothered me enough to mess with it. Despite its low price, this is a first-class food can due to its high quality and well-designed design. As someone who owns a large SimpleHuman kitchen trash can that is 12 years old, it still looks as good as the day I bought it, so I can attest that the company is on the right track. It was a bit expensive (more than this trash can), but for the quality you get, it was worth the price.
