When I opened it, the bowls appeared to have been coated in "tape" glue. Although there were only two pieces, the residue for four others could clearly be seen. Is it tape that's causing the issue? I couldn't scrub it off because it was so sticky, and even if I had put something in the bowl, I wouldn't have been able to clean it because the residue was all over the place, from the bottom to the top. I was feeling foolish and asked my husband if he could give it a shot. He, too, was unable to remove it. We used soap and water, rubbed oil on it, and soaked them in soapy water to no avail. For obvious reasons, I did not use chemicals. br>I dialed the company's number. The woman recommended that I soak them for 30 minutes in nearly boiling water with soap and vinegar. 60mn. I let it sit for an hour and a half before eating it. When I returned, I began to scrub. I was able to get a small portion of it, but not the majority. My husband tried and scrubbed with the green scouring pad really hard. He was finally successful in removing it. He insisted on a one-star rating for the product. "What if our elderly neighbor got this for her dog?" says the narrator. There's no way she could have gotten away with it; it's a dreadful and unnecessary act. "br>The product itself is a good product, but the plastic used isn't up to par with an older feeder of the same model. That said, it appears that this is the current state of several items.

Buy it! This is absolutely fantastic! We had one but had to get another after adopting a one-year-old 60-pound Lab/Rottweiler mix who is still growing. Our other dog is a cross between a German Shepherd and a Labrador Retriever. These feeders, in my opinion, are a must for large dogs to eat ergonomically and aid digestion so that their esophagus does not become "kinked" while eating - This is backed up by research! Large dogs should not eat from ground-level dishes - BAD! It's ideal for storing items - Another brand of feeder we had had the dishes lift away to reveal a hole beneath where the food was kept - The seal eventually failed, allowing dog water to leak into the dog food beneath, causing it to mold! Food was wasted at a high cost, and it was also dangerous to our dogs. This model is completely sealed, with no way for the food to get wet because you "lift" the entire top off to access the food storage underneath. I also appreciate the large amount of food storage! We don't have a lot of storage space in our house, so this is very useful. You also have some leeway in terms of the height you want your dog to reach as he or she matures. It's also a breeze to keep clean. Overall, I give it my highest recommendation! Love it!.

The shades of the large and small sets are not the same. We had a similar set for our previous dog that we bought at PetSmart/Petco and it lasted her the entire 12 years she lived. I recently got a new dog and compared the prices of this set to similar ones at pet stores and found that these were less expensive. They're very similar to the ones you'd find in pet stores, with good, sturdy plastic and attractive bowls. We don't use the storage compartment, so I can't say whether it keeps food fresh, but I doubt it. We chose the smaller set for our cat, and the fact that they are clearly not the same color is the only issue we've had with them. Overall, both are of excellent quality; we anticipate that they will last a long time and that they will be simple to clean. However, if you have a large dog and a small dog/cat and want a matching colored set (as we did), you might want to splurge on the store ones where you can see that they match.

We've only had our puppy for a few weeks, but he's already grown a lot. We needed a way to easily store his food while also elevating it. This appeared to be a good fit for both, so let's give it a shot! br>br>After a week or so of struggling to get the food into the container, we decided it was more trouble than it was worth. Their design is, to put it bluntly, abysmal. The food bag causes the top portion of the bag to tilt at odd angles, we were constantly splashing water trying to get it on, and the food has no way of being sealed. This last part means that the dog food must be kept in a bag unless you want to share your dog's food with ants and mice, which you don't want to do. Honestly, we bought a bin to put the food in (that seals) and use it to elevate the dishes to help with our new puppy's neck level. I don't think we'd get this one if we tried again.

pit mix- I was tired of having to walk to the laundry room to get her food and then back into the kitchen to get her bowls. Her old bowls, on the other hand, were too small for her. So far, it's going well - I will say that unless you remove the metal bowl, the bottle attachment for the water side is useless, but this was not an issue for us because we didn't care for that feature. I like how you can store food underneath it (roughly a quarter of our usual 30-pound bag). Food bags of 40 pound capacity from Costco)- However, it is not sealed in any way beneath the surface. When it rains, we get a lot of sugar ants, which was a concern for me. My husband simply placed the food in a double contractor bag first, which appears to be sufficient- There are still no ants!.
