I bought this collar ten days ago for my Pointer puppy who's close to 6 months old now. It is stated that "medium" measurement is a 17" collar, yet that is the size it only goes down to. A dog of mine almost died. Although the product appeared sturdy, the latch is weak. I liked the reflective stitching, but the latch is weak. The plastic latch on the German shepherd's collar snapped after catching a squirrel recently. He was running free through traffic and ended up trapped. He was lucky that he didn't get injured. A dog that weighs more than 50 pounds probably shouldn't use it.
