The second handle may be too short for a very small dog; I have a medium to large dog, and the length of both handles is perfect; however, if your dog is smaller (which means he or she will be lower), it may not reach. I hope you found this information useful.

What an incredible turn of events. br>I have a Beabull (Bull Dog) who is a forceful and ridiculously stubborn dog. On the leash, Beagle) is a nightmare. The part of this leash that I like the most is that, unlike most leashes, this one has the secondary handle higher up, which is ideal for handling shorter dogs like mine, and the cushion inside the handles is of excellent quality. Material that is both soft and durable. When the dog pulls, this material also absorbs a lot of force. My dog and I can finally go for walks now that we have this leash. br>br>The only reason I gave it four stars is because of the faulty swivel snap hook (I'm not sure if that's the right term; the clip that attaches to the collar of the dog). The thing doesn't fully close and sometimes gets jammed only 1/4 open, so I have to fiddle with it a little to get it to open wide enough to insert the collar ring. This metal part isn't quite up to par with the rest of the leash in terms of quality.
My puppy, who weighs 13 pounds, was not pulling or causing any stress. It wouldn't stay closed or clipped onto the hook on her collar. We were right next to a parking lot, so she could have been hit by a car at any moment. Thankfully, this did not occur. It was, however, frightening. br>br>I'm furious that the spring hook closure (arguably the most important component of a leash) is of such poor quality that it is neither sturdy, reliable, nor safe! br>br>I am extremely dissatisfied. Everything else about the leash is fantastic, but given the importance of the clip, I strongly advise you to avoid it, or at the very least be wary of it.
I like this leash because it allows me to make my pulling dog think twice about pulling. However, I've discovered a potentially dangerous problem: when my dog shakes her head, the clip on the leash connecting to her collar springs open and falls off! br>br>Again, I love this leash, but due to this dangerous unintentional release occurring at least five times in the three months I've been using it (along with others-- This has happened about 1 in every 5 times. After 10 walks with my dog, I no longer feel comfortable using it until I can get a new clasp installed. br>br>Again, a fantastic concept, but the faulty clasp mechanism has resulted in a potentially dangerous product, especially if you're taking your dog for a walk in a high-traffic area. Buyer beware/use at your own risk, as with anything else, and everyone stay safe out there!.
For a long time, I was undecided about what thickness to get for my 9-week-old lab puppy (3/4" vs 1"). I chose the 3/4" and am very pleased with the size; I think the 1" would have been too big for her, and since these leashes are SO CHEAP, I figured I could "upgrade" to the 1" once she grew a little bigger. br>br>Holding the two handles is a dream. I like that this leash has two handles because my puppy is still learning how to walk on a leash. I get the control I'm looking for by having a handle that's close to her. br>br>I've only had the puppy and used the leash for about a week, but it's already been through extreme Baltimore summer heat, two thunderstorms, and puppy nibbling, and it's held up! br>br>I will most definitely purchase this leash again when my puppy is ready for a larger size!.
I have two small dogs (12 and 23 pounds) and needed a leash that was not too wide and stiff. I've bought over a dozen leashes in the hopes of finding one that's narrower (I bought the narrowest), has a traffic handle, isn't stiff, and isn't stiff. But it also has to be strong because both dogs can pull very hard at times. This one checks all of those boxes and was the cheapest of the ones I tried.
Control is excellent. The padded handles are great for controlling the leash whether it's loose or tight. Despite the fact that our eight-year-old son is We used it and ordered three more after our month old terrier pup partially bit through two sections near the clasp. For comfort and control, I would strongly recommend this to anyone. We also purchased 1 inch wide versions to give to good friends, who adore the leashes as well!.
It's padded and comfortable to hold, which I find appealing. However, after shaking her body twice, our leash has come loose from the dog's collar. It happened for the first time a few weeks ago in the garage after a walk, which was fine but unexpected. It happened again today while we were out walking, but thankfully I was able to get our dog to sit still long enough for me to grab the collar and reattach the leash. Another person walking nearby with two dogs made the situation much worse. In case the collar and leash detach again, I've attached a carabiner to them. It's inconvenient, but I'm glad I have to do it. Unfortunately, this is why I dislike this leash.
I had high hopes for this leash but assumed it wouldn't live up to my expectations because of the price; however, I was completely wrong; the leash is fantastic. The handles are extremely comfortable and have just the right amount of padding (thank you). The traffic handle is my favorite and most frequently used, and with a 70-pound dog, it has saved my hand, and the stitching is holding up well. My only gripe is that I wish there were more color options, but my dog doesn't seem to mind, and it does the job I need it to do!.
