Questions & Answers

The device I received in the mail doesn't turn on. I charged it over night and it didn't turn When it's plugged in charging, it does light up, though. Is there anything I'm doing incorrectly?

A yellow light illuminates when it's charging (red) and as soon as it's fully charged, it turns It typically takes a short time for the battery Do you have the feeling that it's going to be Sometimes I have difficulty getting the charging plug to fit in the unit, but other than that, it has always charged the unit and has always served me well.

The length of a full charge is how long does it ?

For most people, resetting their clocks only needs to be done once The battery is recharged every two weeks The average time frame is 3 weeks.

How do I charge the phone? Does it need to be turned off?

It is true. You will have to turn it off in order to charge it. It is chargeable when it has a small red light on the side that indicates it has been connected and

There is a collar space on the back that is about how wide. Could you please tell me if it will fit a 1 inch ?

The collar itself might be a bit too wide. I think 1 inch may be too wide if it is a thicker collar. In the absence of a snap-shut wire clip, and a thick material such as heave nylon, it will never clip and will An easy way to lock the ring is to slide it over the finger. You may want to hang the collar from a D ring so it dangles if the dog has long hair. Visible in a much better way.

If you get a bike light, your ride will be more enjoyable
3/5

To begin with, let me say that I like the products of Ruffwear. Lights like this one aren't different from other lights. I like them, but I don't love them. The price tag for this product would expect a brighter lamp with a wider light beam angle. Where the light's face is pointing forward, it illuminates to the forward. A dog light should have a broader illumination angle, like new bike lights with 180 degrees of illumination, so it can be seen from the side by cars approaching from the front. In this case, too, it should be the same. With the bike light department of Amazon, I found a lighter and brighter light that has a wider angle of illumination for a cheaper price. As a bike light, it is unique in that it is available in three different colors, while normally bike lights are nearly exclusively In my opinion, I use a red light since it is the most visible color in the street, however, I sometimes use a blue light because it is the color of my dog's collar, and I feel like he looks so cute in that.

I wouldn't spend the money on this
3/5

Sadly, I've purchased 2 (for my 2 dogs) and both haven't worked longer than a few days (1st died after 2 days, 2nd lasted for approximately In my opinion, the price of this item was way beyond what I expected. I would not purchase it I had contacted her via email but she asked me to send pictures If so, what kind of help would that be? In the event that the lights aren't working, how would that look in a picture? When they promised they would walk me through it, I was a bit hesitant. I am doing well Then one day I forgot how to turn it on? I had it working for a few days, then suddenly it stopped working. The end result was that I spent a lot of money on a simple enough flashlight. I won't bother buying another one.

All the points I made in my initial review are true. Lights will operate as long as the power is on. However, I found that after using them for only a few months, they stopped working. In the past, I have used them without a problem for at least six months I used them for seven months, then stopped using them at the end of the summer because they were obsolete (due to daylight saving time). The lights started to fail at the end of the summer after I re-started using them after being inactive for about one week. The other light failed about 6 weeks later. The two units simply stopped working on their own, even when fully charged, when there was no abnormal wear or tear, and no abuse was done to the units. For what they cost I expect to get more than six years of service for what they cost. I have them set up "just in case"), and will give them another try, since I like them so well when they work, but I would expect more than six years for what they cost. There is 7 months' worth of use from *BR>*BR>WE FOLLOW UP ON OUR ORIGINAL REVIEW
I have had 2 of these lights for some time now for I have to say they are the best I have ever owned. Having a rechargable battery is great, and it lasts a very long time as well, I get a solid month between charges with an average of two hours of
The lights are VERY bright (I was actually displeased with the brightness of the blue light in the dark, so I chose the dim setting instead). Furthermore, they have proven to be extremely water resistant, and have been able to withstand heavy rainstorms and even an unexpected swim without enduring any damage. The fact that each unit has 3 color options as well as 3 "modes" corresponds to my personal taste. In light of the fact that I had to do some research to discover how these features operated, allow me to explain The unit can be turned on with a long press on the power button Once you have selected your color, you can change the modes by pressing the power button quickly (green flashing, bright green solid, dimmer green solid, and blue, the unit will enable you to select your desired color and mode from the initial selection and once you turn it on again (and after recharging) it will automatically use that setting. It is possible to turn the unit off with a long press on the power button (this is actually a nice feature, as it prevents the unit from turning on or off by accident, like in my experience with other dog lights). In contrast to other reviewers, I personally did not experience any issues attaching the lights directly to the collars after using the clip. Despite the clip being quite small, it stayed secure and seemed to work well on standard nylon collars. I nevertheless ended up using the alternate necklace-style attachment method to attach to my dogs' collars since it is more secure and more versatile than the clasp. In a ring I found it to be much more secure and it worked well for me. Only one potential downside I can identify is that the units are larger and bulkier than most other dog lights I've owned, but I have labs so that is not really an issue for me, and the enhanced features and functionality (in comparison with other lights) make up for it. Furthermore, it might be challenging for someone with arthritis in their hands to press the power button, as it is a pretty stiff button and requires quite a bit of effort to turn it Apart from that, this is definitely a 5-star rating You can find these devices on Amazon.

A high level of visibility
4/5

There are several of the predecessor, the Beacon, which we have bought for friends and have used in the past. It has a sturdy clip which I like. It seems 'iffy' to me that the Clear Lake clip is authentic. Almost a month has passed since it was delivered. The pros include Enhanced light with three colors -- larger, brighter, and stronger A lightweight, water resistant, highly visible, USB rechargeable, plugs into any Ruffwear apparel with a light loop and clips on to all Ruffwear apparel - available in green, blue, and red She can be seen from a mile away, according to friends. The cons are Though I have never had the clip come off even with vigorous shaking, it could be an issue. I believe that the fastening point could have been more substantial, the kind of thing where you can grab onto it. The three Ruffwear Front Range harnesses that she owns belong to her. It doesn't seem to matter to her what she wears. Her Beacon was attached to the top of the harness to make her visible at every angle. A strap over her left shoulder clips the Clear Lake to her left side, so she can only be seen from her left side. There would only be room for it on the left or right There is a thin barrette attached to the thin bracle Only a thin strip, strap or loop of the harness can be clipped onto this fastener type, not the harness itself. As we also walk in the early mornings and at night, this product is quite effective, because that's when we walk the most. I still recommend it for that reason.

It works well, though the clip is unreliable so you will lose product
3/5

Let me start by saying that this is my favorite Ruffwear product. You will be able to use their products for years to come. I am sure the light is no exception, but it is impossible to keep one for In addition to being cheap, the clip is unreliable as well. After losing two on a normal walk through the neighborhood, I am no longer able to do so. The company does provide something that's similar to a key ring, but it's so misshapen that it would be quite difficult for it to attach to anything if it made sense. It can sometimes be difficult to switch it on or off, but after you remove whatever it's attached to, you'll easily be able to do it. In the event that it cannot be glued or sewn on, the lights will just continue to disappear and I cannot afford so much money over 4 months for a light. Despite the fact that they work great, they only stop being worth it when it's necessary to replace them due to poor Once you fix the clip, I won't ever use anything else but until then, I'll buy a replacement.
