Formerly, we used the PetSafe EasyWalk (front clip) harness which did help reduce pulling by our girl, but was never a snug fit. There was always an issue with the front strap hanging too low (no matter what adjustment we made to were also angered by the fact that she had the option of backing out of the harness if she really wanted to. A harness that had enough structure without being bulky was what we were looking for. In addition to having front and back attachments, the new harness also needed to be reflective. We tried other harnesses, but it wasn't until we found the PetSafe 3 in 1 harness that we were able to find the right product for our dogs. I love this harness because it is everything I could have asked for Our girl is kept safe and secure in the car with the leash attached to the seat belt. At night, the reflective stitching is bright as can be and the plums are a beautiful purple color. It is like a bullet when I let my year old hound mix out (while he is leashed for 20 feet). I have always used nylon martingales for him, but he always ends up stopping abruptly. His guttural cough is a result of this. My son was at risk of choking so I was willing to take a chance on this product. He's used Pet Safe products extensively before and has always been very happy. As usual, it did not differ from the last time. In my experience, clipping the leash to the back ring only frustrated him (of course I was working on sizing it correctly at the time so maybe that was the problem). My first thought was to pull the top, but was pleasantly surprised when I realized there was no pull ring. A bullet won't go out the door anymore. My first option was an Easy Walk Harness by PetSafe, but it didn't quite fit my dog. It has been my experience that PetSafe harnesses run large, so I bought the medium of this 3-piece set The harness can be used from 2 points. There is a 62lb Labrador in my home His breed is generally considered to be a large dog, but the medium harness still sat too high on his back. The 62lb dog I traded for was not considered a small dog to me, but I got a small in exchange.
