When I let the dogs out after dark, I can see exactly where they are. Despite the fact that the collar can be cut according to size, for my purposes I simply doubled it around the necks since I have four small puppies. They fit perfectly on a 21lb Rat Terrier and a 16lb Chihuahua. Dogs that are a wee bit smaller. Due to this, I am unable to recommend it to anyone with a dog smaller than 15 pounds. A small dog would be unable to fit into a light fixture of that size. There are three of them It is not bendable, so it is 5" in width. Since the clear plastic that actually lights up would have to be cut considerably short for smaller dogs, the collar would become useless as the ends would not be able to be connected to the light mechanism when this is done. Dogs that are larger would not have a problem with this. There is quite a bit of light available as well. Two is the number of the street I live on. The dogs are fenced in on 5 acres, and it's pitch black at night, so two of them can be seen clearly. *A note of caution I understand why this rating feature asks how well this collar stretches, but I don't understand why it asks how fast it stretches. There is not a single mm of stretching in this collar. Try stretching it, and it should be able to come apart. My opinion is that it is a silly question.

One thing I did not like was the lack of a plug for the charging area, and it looks like there is a rubber cover over it in the picture. Several of these collars have been purchased by me. Randomly, both of them break off. In order for the clear tube collar to stay in place, it must slide into the center "hub". In order to remain in place, they use friction. My golden retriever is walking along when the plastic tube slides out of the collar hub because the plastic is smooth as glass. Thank you so much, I couldn't have found anything better! My dog and I walk in the dark in my neighborhood at night, so it's great to see my pup afterwards. This was the only thing I had to cut. The collar actually fits perfectly (there is plenty of space between it and his neck at the same time) if the lights are wrapped twice. It's a bit hard to get used to the flashing modes, but I really like the solid color mode!.
