The kart that my son uses is for kart racing. The majority of the items appeared to be worn on race weekends, so I assume they are legal for The rentals we do at our track are better than what you get at a race track.
The product does not cause any problems when used.
I agree! I bought this collar for my son who is 7 years old.
Currently, there is only one model, the R4k. Compared to older models, it is lighter and more advanced.

During use, I have found that it does not pull off my neck as I cannot use the under arm straps as they pull the brace into my throat while I am using it. It does not remain in place however without As soon as the underarm straps were removed, I was able to adjust the collar with no trouble. After clearing a 40ft tabletop on my dirt bike, I landed sideways and went down hard on my left shoulder and my left side of my head (be careful if the jump has My clavicle snapped and I saw stars from head impact. I'm not sure if the EVS R4K saved my neck or not, but I'm glad I had it in case. I sprained the neck muscles on the left side, but nothing else happened. My left clavicle also separated, so it turned out that the neck brace did not break my clavicle (I’ve heard that neck braces can break the clavicle in an accident). Though we have not had the chance to test it (and honestly hope we never do), it seems to be well built.
This is an excellent neck protector that is affordable. This keeps my son safe while riding, which makes both of us feel a little better. Even though it's lightweight and comfortable, who is to say that it's actually going to protect his neck in case of an accident?.
This brace is great when used with the evs sports roost deflector with the hook loops on the shoulder part. It is so comfortable and doesn't even feel like it is.
Our grandson has loved and used it for quite a while, and it has held up wonderfully.

The great advantage of a donut is that you can crash at higher speeds. I wanted a higher level of protection over low speed protection, so it's not great for being rearended or holding up your head as you turn.
