My husband and I washed it in cold water on the delicate cycle, then hung it up
These two (2) were purchased to deal with the urinating on our bed by one of our cats. The liquid has "absorbed" into a blanket but has not penetrated it when we caught him urinating on the blankets a few times. Additionally, we regularly machine wash our blankets and have not seen a reduction in the "water resistance" of the blankets. I consider waterproof blankets to be those that would bead on the surface whereas water resistant means the blanket would absorb water but not penetrate through it. It would be more accurate to describe them as
Hand wash is all that is stated on the tag. This is the first time I've washed it on the normal cycle and dried it in the dryer, so far it's fine. Although I take the risk, I think eventually it could have an impact on the waterproofness of it.
It is used for the same purpose as the other blanket I have. There is a definite smell of cat urine after a while and I have found I need to spray the blanket with cleaner before washing in order to fully remove it. There's an awful lot going on, but they don't do it out of spite, but they just try so hard to figure out what the problem is. Having problems with your cats? Did you get any resolutions?

It would have discouraged me from purchasing if I had known What company would make a blanket for dogs that needs to be hand washed? This is crazy. On gentle cycle, we can only hope it will remain strong.
It is getting harder for my dog (a GSD) to sleep through the night because she has occasional incontinence issues Her favorite place to sleep when I am at work is on my bed. My dog has accidents on the surface of this blanket, saving my quilts, sheets, and mattress. I use it as a cover, covering just the top area of my mattress (no overhang on the sides). When I wake up in the morning, I spread this blanket over my bed, and if it gets wet later when I'm ready to go to sleep, I just throw it right into the washing machine without worrying about the state of After it has drained, I fold it up and spread it back across my bed the next morning if it is not wet. The feature saves me a lot of hassle, I don't have to worry about cleaning and drying my sheets when all I want to do is go to sleep. When this one wears out, we will definitely purchase another waterproof blanket like this one.
I don't have to worry about pee soaking through The only reason I have to write a review is because I rarely do it. Our new addition to the family is a Maltese poodle named Tony Little Thing. It's a shame that this blanket can only serve as a blanket, but the idea that it could protect from wetness is ridiculous. Even for a tiny dog, it soaks right through. The fact that we spent so much to get nothing in return is so upsetting.
To protect the sheets in our guest rooms, we bought ourselves two sheepskins (one in gray for one room and one in brown for the other) to protect our Anatolian Shepherd as he likes to snooze during the day. As of now, all seems well. These are very soft, and the flat side is pretty tacky, which keeps them from sliding around. While I am happy with the quality, I do wish there were two sizes available. As of right now, the largest one is the size of a queen mattress, which does not leave much room to hang off the side of a queen bed, so it is lay The best option would be to use a king-sized throw on a queen-sized mattress.
I like how easy it is to use and it allows me to refrain from washing my bedding every day. As a precaution, I keep my diuretics on both my bed and the dog's bed. My older dog takes diuretics for heart disease and experiences It keeps its shape after it has been washed and dried. I like it, except for the fact that it rips easily if you have a chewer and that the seams are not perfectly stitched. Nevertheless, I would recommend this blanket over other waterproof ones that could slide all over.
I have a German shepherd with long hair whose favorite place for a nap is on the couch. It will be difficult for me to give her the couch entirely since she sheds a lot, especially in the summer There should be no residue of dog fur on my lap or on my bed when I sit or lie down. Our intention was to install this cover on the end that belongs to "her". Despite not being particularly attractive, it is still a nice looking house. As she sleeps on it, she seems to like it to be soft. There is no need to iron this shirt, Due to the texture, it is impossible to just shake or brush it clean in between washings, and even though it has been washed, it still holds a lot of dog hair. The waterproof feature is an excellent addition to the product. Once, minna (the german shepherd) rubbed paws with the cat on the sofa, and she was clawed. She was startled so much that she peed a little. As long as she stayed on her side of the sofa, on the blanket, the pee did not penetrate and end up on the actual sofa.
I have had this blanket for a week, and it appears to be doing the job. Whenever my puppy has accidents, I can catch the urine and prevent it from getting on the A good price is included as well! As well as being soft, the material is also durable. This blanket is very nice and I plan to purchase.
