That's correct. The fleece side of the blanket captures all of the urine and washes up beautifully.
The blanket is only used to catch drool, and we've found that it sits on top.

This was purchased for my nearly 19-year-old dog, who is unable to hold her bladder as well as she once did. She can now snuggle up to me on the couch and sleep in my bed once more! It gets 5 of my stars for being 100% leakproof- I've had several accidents in the last month while using it, and no moisture has ever gotten through. There's no crinkly plastic in this one, it's so soft. It's impossible to tell that it's waterproof! I love this product so much that I purchased a second one to use while the first is being washed! It washes well, and my dog adores the soft sherpa side. (Instead of using disposable puppy pads every day, I'm going to buy a set of small ones to line her dog bed-- more environmentally friendly ) Wonderful item!.
However, I have four cats, which is a flaw in my personality. However, one of them will occasionally leak or pee on the sofa when she is stressed (yes, she has been seen by her veterinarian). We bought this blanket to cover our couch because our cat is clever and will only pee on it when she is alone or at night while we are sleeping. So the first thing I did was see if it could truly stop any liquid from passing through. And it most certainly does! The first thing I do now when I buy fabric is to wash it. I don't use products that are still in their original packaging. I'm putting this out there because you'll probably have to run it through your spin cycle two more times once you've washed it. It's so good at holding water that it needs to be rung a few times more. Even then, I had to squeeze out the corners to get rid of the excess water. In your dryer, it will take an eternity to dry. Setting it to dry outside in your yard, or on your balcony if you have one, is a better option. Simply leave it out in the sun for a full day. It may sound like a pain in the neck, but if your goal is similar to mine, it'll be well worth it. You're preventing your pets from destroying your belongings. Every couple of months or so, I'll probably run this through the washing machine. My cats aren't particularly filthy, so I don't expect to have to do this very frequently. I prefer my new items to smell like downy rather than storage. Plus, I'm hesitant to use newly purchased items that haven't been washed. Short version of a long story it's too late - Don't give up when it comes to washing it. It will make you want to throw it away, and it will appear that it will never dry. It will. at some point Allow your shower rod to be handed over to you if you live in an apartment. If you live in a house, you should hang your clothes out to dry in the sun. Finally, it's extremely warm and soft. It can also be used as a blanket for cuddling. Just make sure you don't get it dirty. It's a challenge to wash it!.
In the last month, I've tried a total of four waterproof blankets. This is the best option for my requirements. I'm looking for a one-layer solution - I despise double layers. I need it to quickly absorb the liquid on both sides, not just pool it on top. I'm hoping my dog will enjoy it enough to sleep on it. This single blanket meets all of those requirements. If there are any others, I haven't found them yet after a month of searching. It only falls short of meeting my desire for vibrant colors. When I first got it, I poured water on it, and the white side immediately absorbed it, while the grey side just sat there. As a result, I was like, "Hells bells!" I did, however, clean. It was then dried and the water test was performed once more. This time, the grey side absorbed the water quickly and held it in place, allowing me to move it without dripping. My happy dance had an impact on my dogs. br>br>I put it in the washer on delicate/cold and add a couple of large towels. No additional spins were required. Because my old dryer only has a hot setting, I hang my waterproofs on the clothesline. I ordered a few more for a couch and spares because drying on the line takes a day to a day and a half. br>br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. I tested this blanket again today because I think I have ocd. I was curious if the liquid would pass through if I left it for a long time. It wasn't the case. It took 15 minutes to soak in, and even then, when I pressed my finger, water pooled around it: I've made the decision that no waterproof blanket is 100% reliable. I'm not sure, maybe it depends on how wet it gets. I'll keep using it with an extra layer of protection underneath and report back on how it performs when the dog has an accident on it. I'm considering making my own, but I'm afraid it'll be prohibitively expensive and time-consuming. As a result, my search continues, and I've dropped from 5 to 4 stars.
These blankets are absolutely stunning! We bought several sizes and all of them are 100% waterproof! The spill simply pools, and you can wipe it up with ease. We recently acquired a new puppy, and she has had a few mishaps. We have a large one that we use in our living room to protect a rug and a smaller one that we use in our bedroom to protect our bed, and it's worked well for us. I would buy it again, and it's a great price! The top of the blanket is sherpa, which is super soft, and the backside is velvet. There isn't any plastic, in my opinion. Works!.
This was purchased for these two small dogs, but as you can see, my Molly has taken it over. It's wonderful for her. I'm not sure what else to say because it just arrived today, but it appears to be exactly as described so far. Molly is enamored with it and refuses to leave her cozy blanket.
I wish it was a little bigger so it could stretch across both ends of the bed. For the end of the bed, it's just a tad short. I, on the other hand, am a huge fan. We have a small puppy who has had a few accidents on the bed; this blanket has been washed and washed and is still in good condition. The wooly-headed The fleecy side is filthy and quickly accumulates lint. The grey fleece side, on the other hand, appears to be in good condition; it protects the bed from wizz accidents and washes, and it lasts a long time! It would be great if it came in a colossal size!.
Soft and cuddly blanket that keeps our senior dog warm and comfortable even when she has accidents.
