Questions & Answers

There are 17 puppies in my Bichon household. A girth of around 19 inches and weight of around 5 pounds. If I need to order a small, would a medium be the best choice? I don't want it to be too tight? Is there anything you want to add?

It is small enough to fit our Malti-Poo The shih tzu is 14 pounds and 17 inches tall. We ordered the medium size for our pug who is 23lbs and 25in in girth, and it fits him with a little room to spare (the straps adjust) and it fits him well. It is really too long for him, but due to his large chest and wide shoulders, it may be okay Having to get a larger size neck (he is only 15in from his neck to tail The author of this article is 17 years old). Although the life jacket has a neoprene belly band, which is made to fit a little snug, it does not seem to be uncomfortable for the dogs (there is a tiny margin of adjustment built into We've found a very well designed life jacket for a great price that you can't beat anywhere else. Since the dog's girth is close to the maximum for the small, it could probably fit a medium, but don't forget that it will be long and might even be loose fitting. In that case, the small may do as well, but if your dog keeps a summer haircut it might be better to go for the large. Hope this helps.

Does the leash have a place to be attached?

A leash cannot be hooked up to a hook. In addition to the handle, we attached a big carabineer or looped the leash around them and attached it back to them.

Is there a metal ring for clipping on a leash, or can the harness still be clipped to a leash if a harness is used underneath?

The leash might be attached to this life jacket using the collar instead of the harness, since there is no metal ring to connect it to the life jacket. you for your kind words!

Can you tell if this is A yellowish orange picture is mentioned in the item. ?

The color is orange/red, and it looks terrific on my GOLDEN goldendoodle. To keep the sun out of her eyes, she bought a matching striped hat. It's always a smile when she's around.

A nice Dog PFD that is reasonably priced
5/5

The material looks durable and it looks to be well crafted. Also, the collar is big enough to be comfortable for your dog but not too bulky for them to wear. As far as sizing goes, I only saw girth measurements, but when the package arrived, I saw weight measurements. This may help you decide The following is written in XX Girth up to 10 lbs X Small up to 15 lbs The 19-inch, 11-inch era A small 19-pound dog weighs 18lbs The measure is 24" by 15-1/2" The average weight of a medium is 25 pounds I am 29", 20-years-old The large size is 50lbs*26" In the age range of 35" to 40" A Large 31-inch frame for 70 pounds The 42" and 70" Weight 90 lbs.

This is a great life jacket! This was a gift for my mini long-haired sister He has a long, curly hair
5/5

This is a great life jacket! This was a gift for my mini long-haired sister A long-haired dachshund knows how to swim but is not very good at it. The vest helped him stay afloat (we're still working on keeping his head above water, but the neck piece on this vest is a great help). The size small is what we ordered. The boy is only 9 pounds (which is in the range for size XS), but all of the measurements indicate that he is in the range of size Small. Since the straps cinch him in, I was worried it would be too big for him, but it fits (almost) perfectly in the small. A little big in the back, but he's still a youngster, so he can grow into it.

Her safety is assured on the water, so she can relax and enjoy the water! You can see two pictures attached! It is a size *LARGE* which is perfect for our 7-year-old female pit bull
5/5

A boxer mix who weighs about 46 pounds consistently. My measurements were taken when I purchased a Hurtta winter coat for her and showed me that she measured 19 inches from neck to tail, 19 inches around her neck and 27 inches around her chest. There is no way she's going to survive in **)*** **** - A LARGE has been accurately sized to fit a dog whose measurements are listed Then continue ****- This product has 3 fairly standard buckles, and you can see them in the product picture. A strap is adjusted so that it fits and the male component of the buckle clips into the female component. You must squeeze the two "springy" sides of the male component to release it. Then continue ****- Getting the dog ready to go out on the water from a boat launch or another public area is made simpler when the dog's life jacket can be worn while still leashed. I'm so sorry- An easy-to-use buckle lets the dog easily attach the jacket to his body. In my opinion, it does not matter in what order you buckle the two parts. This is basically a horse saddle that you lay on the horses back. (I've seen all the John Wayne movies so I'm familiar with this kind of thing. Then you wrap the chest piece, shown in grey in the product photo, snugly around them and up to the other side where there is Velcro to hold it Put the buckles on after that. A wrap that I like is this one - It helps in keeping the collar in place while you buckle it because not only is it elastic, but it comes with velcro to hold it in place as you clasp it AND it prevents sores from rubbing on the dogs' chests.

- Then you secure the throat piece, as I would guess you call it. A small piece like this goes under the dog's chin, is attached to the collar with velcro, and then you buckle it in with a buckle. In addition to this flap, there is also a flap to help keep the dog's head and chin Then continue ****- The dog is quite firmly fixed inside the jacket as soon as it is put on. By sliding the straps on top of her torso over her shoulders, I picked her up and carried her about 20 feet back and forth. In the midst of the wrap-up As far as I can see, there is no way out of this jacket with the chest piece, velcro, and buckled straps. Then continue ****- In her new role as a swimmer, our dog loves playing in standing depths of water. She floats when she is close to my chest, so I let her go to test it. Despite my best efforts, she chose to head to shore rather than swim around. The flotation test did not go as well as I had hoped, but I brought her out four times, and everything seemed to work smoothly. Then continue ****- Now, I wish that I had bought the Clownfish design instead. It is certain that our 8 year old grandson would have enjoyed seeing our dog dressed up in that outfit as he is a huge fan of fish. My favorite part about this product is the great price. I would definitely buy this again.

The fit is not right! In response to user reviews suggesting that the jacket runs small, I initially ordered an XL for my 70 lb Lab
3/5

My dog cannot fit in the XL because it swallowed him. Despite stating that it is for dogs up to 85 pounds, it is so small it will not fit my 70 pound There is a huge size difference between the two and they are both supposed to fit an 85 lb person. (L up to 85 lbs, S starting at 85 lbs, XL starting at 115.

I measure well, but it This jacket was delivered just last week to my 45 lb mixed girl who knows how to swim, but isn't the best
4/5

After trying on a medium in the store and finding that the medium only fit around her neck, the back seemed too short for her body size. So I ordered a large. This fits really well so far - the buckles are firmly around her chest and the flaps don't seem too large - and the velcro is at its tightest fit (velcro lines up perfectly with itself) before it overlaps On the medium, the velcro line up toward each other very barely, which meant the floaty meant it was now covered by a wing instead of under her chin. Also, the neck area fits around her neck well, where the velcro lines up with itself. Below are pictures of her wearing the vest as well as her measurements so you can get a sense of how it would fit her. She came out of the water without any difficulty, and when I tested the top handles lifting her they seemed sturdy enough. Obviously, they are not meant for prolonged lifting, but they would probably be strong enough to get her out of the water. Besides a chow/golden mix, we also have a large, lean dog weighing over 60 pounds. Although the neck of the suit fits him similarly to my girl's, the neoprene is securing at the very end and the buckles had to be opened almost all the way, so the chest region is all filled. He also seems to have a little bit of a short height. As you can see in the Fitting Video, the vest they fit on the demo dog fits the same way it fits my 45lb dog even though her measurements would place her in a medium, and not a large vest. Eventually, we'll put her in the water to see if she does well with it, but for now, I'll update after she's used The following are the measurements of a 45lb dog A typical neck The diameter is 17 inches. A chest measurement of 26 inches is required. Length (from the base of the neck to the base of the The height of a five inch shoe. The measurements of a 60+lb dog are A typical neck The height of a five inch shoe. A chest measurement of 30 inches. Length (from the base of the neck to the base of the I am 26 inches tall.
