  This purchase has made me extremely happy. For my dog, this life jacket was ideal. Finding clothing that fits my dog is usually a challenge for me. This, on the other hand, is a perfect fit for him, as if it were custom-made for him. I bought this a few months ago, and I've been using it almost every day since then. This jacket's quality is truly exceptional, in my opinion. Everything about it is solid and well-made, with nothing that appears to be cheap or easily breakable. Cody, my dog, adores being in the water. We have to literally drag him out of the pool, despite the fact that he is exhausted. He's been wearing this life jacket every time we go to the pool since we got it. It has no effect on his swimming; in fact, it improves it. The jacket keeps him afloat, so he doesn't have to exert as much effort to stay afloat. While we always keep an eye on him while he's in the pool, knowing he's wearing this makes me feel a lot better. I strongly advise all dog owners to purchase this life jacket.

My labrador is unable to swim! Isn't it incredible? She sinks after letting her butt droop into the water and attempting to walk on the bottom. She is unable to keep her nose out of the water in order to breathe. I've tried to teach her, but she doesn't seem to understand. Our other lab, on the other hand, appears to have been made for water. I'm not sure what you're talking about. br>br>I've been looking for a life jacket because I'm afraid to put her in my boat without it. I looked in a few pet stores, but the options (some of which are now available on Amazon) seemed cheaply made, with a handle/stitching that looked like it would rip right off if I ever had to use it to get her into the boat. They didn't fit properly and appeared to be made of low-quality materials that wouldn't last. Those other dogs might have been fine if she had been a small dog, but she is a large dog. br>br>After some more searching, I came across this one. The photos gave me the impression that this was built with higher-quality materials and a more durable, non-corrosive finish. design that is difficult to work with I measured her and chose the size indicated on the chart, knowing that I could return it if necessary. It's the right size. (I went with the XL option. ) Her clothing was snug and secure around her body, but not too tight. It's also the right length. br>br>The fabric is more durable than some of the others I looked at. The buckles, stitching, and handles are all made of durable materials. The design allows her to move her legs freely while providing plenty of flotation. She continues to try to reach the bottom with her hind legs, alternating between extending them and paddling. It's the funniest, most awkward thing to watch, but she keeps her head above water while she "freestyles. ".

I'm sure this life jacket will work for some people, but it won't work for my Jack Russel/Pit mix, who is very active. Unfortunately, I didn't realize how much the padding in front was causing a rash until it was too late (which leads me to believe that dogs with longer hair won't notice because Holland's hair is so short), and she was left with oozing rashes on her chest after a weekend of swimming at our family lake house. That being said, Holland is a crazy swimmer and only comes out of the lake when forced to (hence the jacket so we don't have to worry about her exhausti I don't think a dog who went to the beach once a week during the summer would have the same problems. Previous jackets I've had gave her rashes around the neck from the straps riding up, but the rashes from the padding around the straps of this jacket - ostensibly to avoid this - are significantly more detrimental. However, I've noticed that this jacket does not chafe my armpits as much as my previous ones did. br>br>Having said that, there is finally a medium/large dog jacket with a sturdy handle and a leash ring that does not rip the first time the dog pulls! Before it gave my dog rashes, the floatation was very balanced, and she seemed very comfortable in it.

I like how it is buoyant and has all the straps to keep it secure. My Charlie appears to be more at ease in it than in any other. It gets bonus points for how nice it looks on top of everything. Love it!.

It appears to be the same as the photo, but the brand name is different. I ordered a pink and a green in XL each, and they're from different brands and fit differently around the neck.

It fits well, and the straps/buckles and Velcro are of good quality. Our dog appears to be at ease in the jacket, not biting it or acting as if he wants it off (which he does with clothing he doesn't like, he's picky). br>We haven't tried it in the water yet, so I'll post an update once we get him swimming in it. Carrying him around in a purse or briefcase would be fantastic! The back handle makes it easy to grab him and carry him to the dock, boat, or anywhere else we don't want him to walk. and he is unconcerned about it:.

This is my third purchase of a life jacket for my dogs. It's also the best because it's simple to adjust, and my 6-month-old dog doesn't mind because he can still move around. They have a tendency to be a little big. I ordered a small but had to exchange it for an extra small (which was a quick and painless process). This is a book I would strongly suggest. The two belly straps are much more comfortable to wear than the single strap. br>***** I had to send back the extra small. He flipped over because it was so loose. It's a fantastic jacket, and the company was extremely accommodating when it came to returning it. I would suggest it!.
