Questions & Answers

What would be appropriate for a fifteen-year-old? Is it possible to have two arabian quarters mixed together?

I'd go for a big one. It's possible that a medium will be too small.

What would be appropriate for the age of fourteen? How about a two-quarter pony?

It's a 15-year-old horse that I'm riding. 2 with a neck that is quite long. It was a tight fit, but it allowed him to stretch. I haven't tried it on my 14-pound QH. 2) However, because his neck is short, I believe it would be too large for him.

What is the size of a 16? Is it necessary to use 2 tb of flour?

THE ZIPPER IS NOT THICK ENOUGH FOR A LITTLE CHIHUAHUA DOG, GOOD LUCK, BUT READ THE REVIEWS, EVERYONE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM, THE TEENIE TINY ZIPPER BREAKS, MINE TOOK 3 WEARINGS. GET ONE WITHOUT A ZIPPER, IT WILL BE MUCH BETTER, 16. 2 HAND THOROUGHBRED WOMEN WOULD WEAR AN EXTRA LARGE CLOTHING

Have any of you ordered the turquoise-colored one that appears to be blue? Blue is what I'm looking for, but I'm not sure if that's a mistake. ?

There is a royal blue and turquoise available from the manufacturer, which is most likely not a mistake.

So far, so good, and I'm using it to cover a wound
5/5

Before I bought it, I read the reviews and learned that it runs small, so I ordered an XL. My horse has reached the age of fifteen. It fit two people who weighed around 1200 pounds and had slightly larger chests than average. The only area where I was unsure was the girth; I don't think he would have fit in a L because he is maxed out in the girth with the XL and it's still snug (I'd prefer it to be a little bigger). The color is more lilac in tone. br>I got the hood because my horse's neck had gotten a pretty good cut/wound and I needed something to keep it covered and bugs away (I live in central Texas, so I needed something that wouldn't make him sweat too much). So far, it's been successful. Although some dirt can pass through, the majority is kept out. It has a zipper under the chin that runs halfway down the neck, which I like. It's simple to pull back to clean his wound without completely removing the hood. I've only had it for a few days, but I'm enjoying it so far. It could also be used under his blankets in the winter.

For the price, it's adequate - Runs on the small side
4/5

This was exactly what I needed for a sick horse: a quick shipping, low-cost hood. It's a tiny little thing - An XL is just big enough for my 15-year-old self. The belly and nose of a two-ton TB gelding. Although it stretches, there is little flex at the nose opening, and the belly band's maximum length is quite short. Otherwise, the fabric is stretchy and has retained its shape so far. It remains affixed to the horse's back - He wore it for 48 hours and didn't notice any movement. It washed up fine, but it did bleed a little, so keep that in mind. The stitching thread and/or the way the seams are finished give them a rough appearance - So far, my horse has been fine, but I'd like them to be a little gentler. A few long threads needed to be trimmed, but they were simple to do. Because of the placement of the zipper (sewn in, zips up towards face), I find this hood slightly easier to put on than similar hoods. Overall, I think the $35 I paid was a good deal, but I wouldn't pay any more.

In less than a day, Zipper had broken
3/5

My mule was injured, and I needed a slinky fast; all of the Tough One products I've used have been excellent, so I ordered this slinky despite the low ratings. The zipper snapped in less than a day. Another slinky with a similar price tag has a sturdy zipper that runs the length of the chest. This one comes to an abrupt halt in the middle of the story. The belly band and the way it fits under the chest are nice touches, but they aren't enough to justify the price; it would be a 4 at the very least. If the zipper wasn't so flimsy and went far enough down to provide enough stretch and space, I'd give it a five. For a single day's use, the cost is in excess of $50. This makes me angry.

I MADE IT THROUGH TWO WEARINGS, THE TEENIE IN THE THIRD, AND THE TINY ZIPPER BROKE- THIS IS NOT GOING TO LAST
3/5

A BELLY WRAP STRONG ENOUGH FOR AN ELEPHANT IS USED. THEY USE A ZIPPER THAT IS NOT TUFFED ENOUGH FOR A CHIHUAHUA WEIGHTING 5 POUNDS. I returned it for a refund and will not buy another until they use a zipper that is DURABLE ENOUGH FOR A 1000 LB HORSE. THEN IT SHOULD BE A GREAT ITEM, but with this TOTALLY INACCURATE ZIPPER, I don't think it will last more than a few wears, as mine did. Otherwise, the product appears to be of good quality, but I'm not sure what I'm missing. But don't buy it because you'll be disappointed when the teeny-tiny zipper breaks.

Color affects the size and quality of the item
3/5

I purchased one in navy blue at first. It worked perfectly and was the perfect size, and I was pleased with the product's durability and overall quality, so I bought a second one in black. I went with the same size to ensure a good fit. It didn't fit on my horse when I put it on when it arrived. It's short and wide, and it's not even close to the quality of the first one I got. After the first use, the material frayed and would not stay in place. I double-checked the size and brand to ensure I hadn't ordered the incorrect item. The color was the only thing that was different. I would have given this five stars if I could guarantee the quality of the first one I ordered!.

I wish I could have given 0 stars to this pathetic excuse for a product
3/5

I ordered a Large because my daughter's horse wears that size. Keep in mind that my daughter competes in horse shows and spends an hour and a half on average banding her horse's stubborn mane. We used it at our first show of the season, and THANK GOD one of her team members returned an hour later to water the horses, because the whole thing had gotten up his neck. The sizing is off by a large margin. If your horse normally wears a large, you may need to order an XXL.

When I washed them both, the seams began to run on the eyes, which I was able to fix but wasn't happy with
3/5

They bled red all over the place as well. For my 15-hand paint mare, I needed a bigger size. The first one was saved for my two-year-old twins. When I washed them both, the seams began to run on the eyes, which I was able to fix but wasn't happy with. They also bled red all over the washer, so wash it thoroughly before using it, especially with dark colors.

The quality is poor
3/5

First and foremost, I ordered an XL, which was just big enough for my 16-hour QH, almost too small, but we decided to give it a shot. The threads were ripped after two days, and he had it wrapped around his neck with the chest clip broken in his stall. Spend a little more money on a higher-quality hood.
