To determine the tightness of the eight, use a wide knit headband that has been safety pinned. If it works, trim the excess fabric and hand whipstitch the edges.
It had no effect on my dog.
It does not block noise, but it can be replaced with human foam noise protectors that you roll in your finger and then expand. So roll it up and insert it into your dog's ear canal, then use it to cover their ears so the rollers don't fall out when they shake their head.
Large size may be appropriate depending on your dog's breed. I've previously used the large one on an adult Labrador as well as Doodles, and it's perfect.

We live in South Florida, where severe thunderstorms are almost a daily occurrence during the summer. Dixie is a four-year-old girl who lives in the United States. year- Border Collie/Chihuahua mix, old. Thunderstorms, fireworks, and any other loud noise would send her into a panic. Her life had become unbearable because of her panting, pacing, and anxiety. This hoodie was a last-ditch effort; if you've tried everything and are on the verge of giving up, give this product a shot; it was a lifesaver for Dixie. br>br>After trying every product under the sun to help our small dog overcome her fear of thunderstorms and fireworks, I decided to give it another shot. I didn't think this product would work, but I figured it was worth a shot. This little hoodie surprised me; it worked even when Valium didn't. The outcome was apparent right away. Yes, she appeared a little uneasy at first, but she quickly adjusted. She weighs 19 pounds, and the large was a perfect fit for her. I'm overjoyed that she's found something that helps her.
What Happened in the Beginning vs. What's Happening Now! Take a look at the images. Due to thunderstorms and fireworks, I've had to replace eight interior doors in the last five years. EIGHT (plus one more that needs to be replaced). I've tried CBD and a thunder shirt and keeping him locked in the basement crate and playing loud music and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and and br>br>I almost didn't buy it after seeing it because, SERIOUSLY? Is this how it's going to go? Ha ha ha. Ya right. br>br>It's all in good fun. I wouldn't say he's smiling, but the photo was taken during a thunderstorm, and we're even on the main floor of the house (rather than the basement). He doesn't like it, but he isn't trying to escape the thunder by ripping through every bedroom door in my house, so I don't mind. Lol.
" We purchased this primarily because it appears to be hilarious, but also because we have a small Chihuahua. Any movement in our building's elevator, according to our Pomeranian mutt, means the four horsemen of the apocalypse are on their way. br>br>With the happy hoodie on, our dog has taken on a whole new personality. He barks infrequently (if at all) and can be trusted not to bite visitors. Who knew that the top half of a fat sock would be the answer to our prayers after years of training him to relax? It also gives our dog the appearance of a tall babushka, which brings us never-ending joy. joy is coming to an end.
During the idiocy of 2020, my older dog (over 7 years old) was traumatized by the firework-crazed criminals. My once-confident JRT mix began to show signs of PTSD after being bombarded for 12 hours a day, every day. To help her with her anxiety, I tried a variety of "calming" products. Nothing worked, including a thunder jacket, pheromones, calming treats/pills, and so on, until I tried putting an oversized sweatband over her ears, which provided immediate relief. I purchased these and am very pleased with the outcome. My daughters are petite (10 to 20 pounds), but they fit into both the large and small sizes. When my JRT mix needs it, she never tries to remove it. She immediately relaxes and even falls asleep once it is turned on. It's also popular with my other child.
I just got this and gave it to my 20-pound Shitzsu dog for a fitting. br>The small is too small, while the large fits better around the head but is too long, requiring me to roll it up three times to clear his neck. I don't see how the large could fit a large dog as they claim unless it's a greyhound with a small head. I have yet to try it in the bath to see if it can be tolerated for longer than a fitting. The material is soft, but the sizing is off, and I'm stuck with the small size, which would probably fit a 10 pound Yorkie or something similar. The sizes are more in the range of xtra small and small, rather than small and large. It's misleading when they show it on a model who appears to be a 60-pound German shorthair. Even with the large size hoodie, you'd choke or hurt a dog that size's ears. br>I wouldn't buy it again.
These dog hoodies are a fantastic concept! There are two Havanese in my household. A strong young man - 20 lbs. and a small child - 8 lbs. I haven't used the hoodies for cold weather yet, but I have used them as loud noise filters, such as while getting a blow dry or while the vacuum is running, and they work great. The kids are much calmer thanks to the hoodies, which block the loud noise and blowing air. They hold up well to machine washing in cold water in a lingerie bag, and I hang them to dry. Because they are prone to pulling, you must be cautious when using grooming tools near the hoodies. br>Overall, the price is reasonable, the quality is acceptable, and the fact that there are two of each size in the package is ideal.
I bought this product to protect my dog's ears after an infection caused by allergens outside, but she was surprisingly unconcerned about the hoodie and didn't seem to mind it at all. I'll admit that it easily gets caught on things, and it already has some pulls from her collar. In general, it fulfills the purpose for which I purchased it. Furthermore, I was concerned that it would not fit her because her ears are large, but they lay flat and fit snugly under the hoodie! She appeared to be happy.
I did everything I could to keep Esther from flapping her ear after the operation when she developed a hematoma on her ear. My own concoction stayed on for a minute because the scarf wouldn't stay on. The hard plastic cone (which hurts your thumbs after a while when trying to close it) caused her ear to flare/swell up again, preventing her from going up the stairs and making it difficult for her to eat/drink her food. The soft cone with velcro was a little better, but it still didn't keep her ear secure, and it was difficult for her to eat. The Happy Hoodle is a fantastic character! It actually prevents her from flapping or scratching her ears by keeping them tapered down. The material's thickness prevents her from scratching her ears while also allowing her to eat. Thank you so much, and Esther will thank you as soon as she recovers.
