It is used with the Breeze System liter box and PINE pellets as opposed to the plastic pellets that come with the Breeze System. The pine pellets turn into sawdust, which is then settled on the pad in the tray and eliminated from the system, which is more ecological and certainly more hygienic. In comparison to plastic pellets that collect bacteria between changes, this seems to be more effective. The Pine Pellets smell like a forest and go great with the Breeze scented pad, too!.

It is very easy to clean the breeze system. It is my responsibility to remove the solids when necessary. In a bottom tray, the liquid flows through the pellets and onto a liner that absorbs odors and liquids at the same time. The used liner is slid into a bag once a week, whereas the new one is placed into the bag afterward. All done, we're done with cleaning that litter box. It doesn't require that many pellets either, I just dump them once a month and replace them with new ones. Pellets are included as an indication of how much you need in the first kit.
