Questions & Answers

The ingredients are difficult to read on the label in the photo. Is it possible for someone to provide a list of the ingredients?

FD milk protein hydrolyzed Just so you know, there is now a cost-effective alternative to C Blue, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, maltodextrin, and titanium dioxide on the market. Calmkeen is made up of nothing but hydrolyzed milk protein and hypromellose, a vegetarian capsule. There are no additional additives, fillers, or colors. Calmkeen is available on Amazon, and for roughly the same price as Zylkene, you get twice as many doses.

Is there any flavor to them? When I mix it with food, will my cat eat it?

I'm not sure if it's unpleasant. I break open the capsule and sprinkle both cat and dog food with it. Mine both eat it without hesitation, and I use it on my cat on a regular basis, but only on occasion with the dog. I've noticed that after she takes it, the dog's mouth becomes drier.

According to the label on the bottle, it is distributed in Texas. Is there any information about where the product was made in the literature? Mexico and China are reportedly subsidiaries, according to the website. tense? tense? tense? tense? tense ?

It is true that it is made in Ft. Lauderdale. Vetoquinol USA, Inc. is a company based in Fort Worth, Texas.

Has anyone used this for grooming their dog because they get so anxious? What method did you use to dose yourself? tia! ?

Consult your veterinarian; mine suggested doing one the night before grooming and another two hours before grooming. The system is loaded, and then the maintenance level is reached. Dose by weight; do not take more than the recommended amount. My dog was fine after taking two pills in a 24-hour period. To keep her quiet during knee surgery, she was given this twice a day. Thunderstorms, grooming, and visitors are all times when you'll need to be prepared. IT WORKS PERFECTLY! REGRETS ARE NOT AN OPTION! AN INVESTMENT WORTH ITSELF!

It's not the same thing as what you'd get from your veterinarian
3/5

Because I believe the product on Amazon has been tampered with, I'm only giving it one star. This product was recommended by my veterinarian, and it did help my dog relax. The capsules purchased on Amazon are a darker blue with a different label. My dog was no longer calm after one week of using the Amazon zylkene. Another customer complained that the capsules he received were a darker blue and appeared to have been tampered with. I purchased this product from chewy in order to save money. com. The capsules are the same color as the vet's and have the same label. I'm getting rid of the capsules I ordered on Amazon.

This product was a great value and really helped my cat relax
5/5

When we weren't home, my cat, who suffers from anxiety, began to pee on our bed. I started giving her 75mg caps, but I discovered that buying the 225mg and then opening the capsule and splitting it into two doses is more cost effective. For the same price as a bottle of 75mg, I can now get two months' supply from a single bottle. It's also natural and non-toxic, which I appreciate. I can't let my cat have too much of this because it's addictive. This has been extremely beneficial to my cat. br>br> She's been taking them for over a month and has noticed a significant improvement. Hasn't peed outside the box and isn't as aggressive. She isn't a zombie when she takes these, which is a good thing. She's the same person she always is, but a little less aggressive and a little more relaxed. br>br>Sprays, flower essences, spirit essences, and calming collars have all been used. Nothing appeared to be of any assistance. I'm glad I discovered Zylkene on Amazon, where it was available at a reasonable price. Thank you very much!.

My cat was unable to pull his fur out as a result of this
5/5

My cat had developed an odd habit of ripping out large sections of his fur at random times for no apparent reason, eventually leaving him bald and patchy. Zylkene 75mg was prescribed by the veterinarian. To save money, I switched to this and gave half a capsule every day. br>br>Aside from the fur pulling stopping, I haven't noticed any significant changes in my cats' behavior, which is fantastic. Fur pulling resumes if dosing is interrupted for more than a day or two. I'm not conducting random tests here, but that suggests it's effective. br>br>The active ingredient is an alpha-hydroxy acid. caseinate is a type of milk protein. I considered simply purchasing casein protein and giving it to my cat, but the active ingredient appears to be much more concentrated here. br>br>Opening and pouring the capsules into wet food is a breeze. My cat will happily eat this poured into just an ounce of wet food, so there appears to be no adverse flavor change. br>br>Product is a little more expensive than I'd like, but it's not as bad if you buy the larger 225mg capsules and give a portion.

My agressive cat enjoys it
5/5

My vet recommended it because of my cat's aggression toward my other cat, so I started giving it to him. I had been giving it to him for about 9 months and he seemed to be less aggressive; however, I ran out of Zylkene at the end of December 2020 and did not reorder it due to the high price; after about a week or so, he began to become more aggressive toward my other cat. And now, after two weeks without Zylkene, it's clear that Zylkene did the trick. Now he's going after her once more. He literally bites her and pulls her fur from her body. I just placed an order for more Zylkene.

My anxious dog's vet recommended it
3/5

My anxious dog's vet recommended it. I wanted to get her off of Prozac, which she had been on for a while. It wasn't entirely successful, and she was losing weight as a result of her reduced eating habits. So I gave it a shot, and the results were mixed. There is no evidence that it is any more effective than Prozac, but there are no known side effects. I give her pills dipped in peanut butter, which she gladly accepts. I could also sprinkle on her food and she would still eat it. br>br>I've progressed to L-. 100 mg of human-grade theanine My dog became more enjoyable to be around as time went on. Within a day or two, you'll be in love, with no negative consequences. When it's sprinkled on food, she eats it willingly. It also costs less than Zylkene. br>br>Inquire with your veterinarian. She might not be familiar with the terms Zylkene or L- Have them take a look at it, though. I particularly appreciate the fact that neither product has any limitations or concerns.

Review that has been edited
3/5

I'm sorry, but I'm having to change my opinion. Ingredients have changed, and while it still aids in behavior, my dog is experiencing leg cramps, which began with the ingredient changes and ended when the supplement was withheld. Your pet may or may not experience the same side effects as you. br>Old review: My veterinarian recommended it for our 14-year-old Jack Russell. She was becoming more easily agitated and aggressive, so she started taking one Vetoquinol Zylkene tablet per day, and she's a calmer, happier pup now, thanks to that and her Xanax at bedtime. This does not appear to make her sleepy, and I prefer it to Xanax for daytime use because of this.

We adopted a 9-week-old Great Pyranese/Antalonian Shepherd mix puppy, and it has been extremely helpful in acclimating the puppy
5/5

This supplement was recommended by our veterinarian to aid in brain development so that he does not become aggressive as a result of his breed. Of course, proper socialization and training are very important to us. He's stopped whining and growling at other dogs since I started giving him this supplement, and he's also stopped whining when I take him outside for potty breaks and playtime. He appears to be more at ease and lovable. He was already a sweetheart, but our vet was concerned that at such a young age, he was growling at other dogs. I believe that with continued behavior training and the addition of this supplement, our fluffy ball of joy will mature into a well-behaved dog. He can also sleep soundly in his kennel with his dog sister.

End-of-year stress was alleviated
5/5

My cat is in the early stages of congestive heart failure. My 15-year-old cat was anxious and stressed due to heart failure (lethargy, breathing, and sleeping issues). I used this product out of desperation (the boxed, tamper-proof 225 mg size) and was blown away by its effectiveness! My small cat only required 1/3 to 1/2 of each capsule mixed in food once a day. He was acting "normal" again after 48 hours of use, displaying positive behaviors that I hadn't seen in months. He was able to unwind and sleep again, as well as resume his normal daily activities. I didn't notice any "side effects" while he was on blood pressure and diuretic medication.
