In this grippy powder, resin is present, which helps you keep those pesky ear hairs at bay. Our family has three standard poodles and plucking their ear hair is a regular occurrence. Two of the dogs suffer from yeast infections in their ears (mostly due to allergies) so dealing with smelly, yeasty ears isn't a pleasant experience. Before we can Xymox them, we need to grasp the hairs behind the ears and pull them out with hemostats. As we pull a chunk of hair, the powder has the effect of providing a good grip. In addition to removing the hair and flushing the canal, we can put in the Xymox powder to kill the yeast. This powder has a squirt top so it gets into the canal and doesn't leave a plume of powder behind. It lasts all year long since we buy the large size of it. You don't need to feel bad about leaving some in their ears after, it won't harm them.
In most cases, her ears still have some odor after the groomer has done them, but this ear powder eliminates that odor. Neither of her ears itch nor do they appear to be infected. I was able to grab the hairs easily and pull them Having bought it, I am glad I did. Since I have been using it for the past six years, it has outperformed all other ear powders and cleaners I've used.
This powder allows you to grab hold of hairs on the schnauzer's ears so you can pluck them with your fingers. Mini Schnauzer ears grow hair faster than Homer Simpson's beard. We fell in love with this brand after being introduced to it by our groomer.
There was actually less than half of the product left in the bottle when the cloud of product blew out. It is very disappointing especially since it gave my show dog a dual ear infection when I used it properly.
I'd highly recommend it. A cotton ball was puffed up with the powder and wiped in the ear of my shitzu. The hairs were plucked out with tweezers after about 30 seconds of letting it sit. I have a dog that gets upset for no apparent reason, and she was fine the entire.
In order to pull out ear hair using this product, I grip it around the hair to be pulled. As well as pulling the hair to strip it from the ears, I use the tool for that purpose. To prevent slipping, it grips the hair so it doesn't unravel. If you take out only a little bit of powder, it's very difficult to get it out. Getting used to how to barely squeeze out a small amount from the bottle so as not to waste it takes some time.
I received the bottle in less than 24 hours, but failed to seal it, so it is almost empty. My experience with Amazon was never like this before.
The ear canal area is an area where I have been lacking when grooming him. As far as I am concerned, it worked.
